Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my son's 1998 Acura Integra GS-R with Honda's B-18C V-TEC engine and 5-speed manual transmission. This would be a great project car. The V-Tec engine runs strong. The rest of the car I'd rate "FAIR" because it needs work. The car starts every day. The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts fine. I believe the clutch may be getting weak tho. I don't know much about it but I also believe there may be an issue with the transmission mount or motor mount. The gear shifter seams to move around as you accelerate and decelerate. Maybe this is normal, I don't know for sure. It needs some exhaust work, tires and AC's not working. The exterior has been painted prior to us purchasing it. Whomever painted it didn't do the best job. The clear coat is peeling in some spots and has some orange peel texture. There's some normal Honda rust, door dings and bumper scuffing. No major structural damage we're aware of. The interior isn't totally bad. It was owned by a kid and looks like it. I believe it has about 145,000 miles on it. I'm not sure of the miles because when we bought it, the tachometer didn't work. My son replaced the entire gauge cluster because he thought the tach gauge was bad. Unfortunately, it wasn't bad and the new one reads in kilometers. The tach still don't work. I have tried to disclose as much of repairs I feel are needed. I want to give "The Buyer" a solid background so you know what you are bidding on. I am not a mechanic and don't claim to be one. You may find more that needs to be done to it. That's why I called it a project car. For this reason it is being sold AS-IS. We've had this car for almost 2 years. It's in need of some TLC and a good home. We'll be sad to see it go but hopefully can be restored into a "Fine Tuned Machine". Good luck and thank you for looking!!
