California black plate, (as licensed in 1964) hence no snow exposure. It has a rare optional front disc brakes. Brakes stop as disc brakes should. Engine is an original solid survivor, sounds as good as it looks tidy. Starts right up with manual choke. No carburetion or mechanical issues. Single Solex PIC carb for economy, simplicity and reliability. It is quiet running with no obvious leaks. Besides fun to drive, the 4 speed manual gear box would last "forever." You can't buy a newer Mercedes like this no matter how much you pay. "Everything works," .... all windows, locks, gauges, lights, fan, wiper, horn, even the original "BLAUPUNKT" radio. It's practically 100% complete, missing only washer bottle to my knowledge. Body is straight and was restored, striped down to bare metal before new paint. (See file photos.) Spot repair was made from rain leaked to under rear seat and floor. Last registered in 2011. Currently on non-op (i.e. no late fees or penalties to renew registration in Calif.) This car makes an attractive and distinctive daily driver as is. I've driven it 100 miles with delight. Heater and fan work as they should. No US dealer-installed AC.
