Vehicle Detail

1966 Volkswagen Beetle (from Germany, not Brazil or Mexico.) Clean Florida title in my name. 1641cc engine with Engle 110 cam, ceramic header, 34 PICT carb and ceramic coated muffler. 12Kmis since the rebuild.Freeway flyer transmission with brass fork built by Jim Loftin. The car was a pan-off restoration done three years ago. I daily drove it for the first eight months and has been a show car ever since. The color code is L50B, Diamond Blue which was an original color in 1969. There is zero rust on the car. This was a California car originally and has been in Tampa Florida the past seven years. The pan is solid and during the restoration I coated the pan with POR-15. Shaved antenna Porsche headlights. All new door, window, headlight, tail light, engine, and fender seals. New windshieldNew carpetNew transmission mountsAll new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, drums, and brake hoses. Smoothie hubcaps and beauty rings. Port-o-wall white walls on all tires including the spare in the trunk. The tires are in good condition and have plenty of tread left. 135R15s up front, 165R15s in the rear. Lowered on 2.5" drop spindles up front and has a 4" narrowed beam. You can turn the wheel from lock to lock in a U-turn and the tires will not rub. The rear is lowered one notch down. All new shocks, ball joints and tie rod ends. The original Sapphire I radio is still in the dash but I do have a working CD player hidden in the glovebox and a Kicker speaker in the dash. USB port to charge your cell phone, MP3 inputs. This car was built first and foremost to be a great driver. Top speed is 96mph -verified by GPS. The car has been garaged daily since the restoration and valve adjustments completed every 1500-2000mis. On Nov-30-15 at 15:23:18 PST, seller added the following information: Good evening everyone. There is a little over a day left on the auction. I just want to make sure that everyone reads and fully understands the payment terms of a $500 deposit within 24hrs and full payment due within 72hrs of auction close, NO EXCEPTIONS. That means Friday night at 11:11pm if I have not received the full payment, you forfeit your deposit and I will immediately give a Second Chance Offer to the next lowest bidder who has met the reserve price of $6500. To answer several of your messages no, I will not end the auction early for "X" amount lower thank $8K. (That's the fun of an auction!) I will gladly assist with a coordinated pickup from a towing company if that is something you'd like to set up on your end. Thanks and happy bidding!
