1987 XL 250 R Honda. A friend of mine , picked this up from a moving , everything must go, yard sale. The people had two. He kept one , I bought the other from him. I installed a new intake manifold , rebuilt the carbs. New Fr. & rear tire most recent. I rode this around where i worked, for a couple years. The head gasket seeps a bit , until it heats up , then seals up for the most part. Bought a book , never made the time to repair. ( common on the XL & XR) Starts , runs , clutches & trans all good. Brakes all good. The rear fender is toast , duck taped, to not lose the tail light. Have the clymer book. RFVC head in great condition. Bike idols , powers up , it does what it should. (Radial Four Valve Combustion) engines are known for their power. It has come up on me a few times. Nice fixer upper , or for parts. Would make a nice starter bike. I start the bike once a week , & ride it a little , to keep it running. Never tried to get title , never rode it onroad , local offroad. I ran it threw tri state search , came back clean. The bike was sold original in California , where my friend purchased it. He got a bill of sale , I will include it for title search , if someone choses this route. Great for repair or parts.
