All paperwork and title transfer documents provided, as well as help with shipping arrangements. The "MYSTERY MOUSE" is for sale! This car is a wolf in sheep's clothing. On the outside is a beautifully kept and fully original appearing '72 Monte Carlo; complete with hubcaps and wheel skirts. Beyond the unassuming exterior lies the heart of a beast... A brand new high performance engine and drivetrain. This car looks really good but... is so much fun to drive! Only thing that really gives this factory modestly appearing car away is the rumble from the full Flowmaster exhaust with Super 44 chambered mufflers, and ceramic coated headers. As mentioned, there is a brand new (and, I mean brand new.... Only 400 miles!!!) fully balanced and blueprinted small block Chevy. It was built with the full Edelbrock Power Package, and is estimated at between 435 and 450 horsepower. The car starts, runs, and drives excellent in every which way. It is a real joy and an absolute thrill. The rumbling sound gets your heart racing. How quick this little mouse motor revs, and the shear power, is totally exhilarating. There is a super long list of incidentals (new fuel tank, lines, filters, hoses, radiator, battery, suspension, and steering) that I won't even get into. I will let you know that the car has a 12 bolt rear, with 3.73:1 gearing. Everything was designed to work together, and.... it performs very well. Condition:Please examine the pictures closely. You'll see that this is as nice as can ever be expected from a generally unrestored 43 year old automobile. Upon very close inspection, there are several very small stone chips in the paint. Overall, it's very shiny and, certainly still looks very good. There is a tiny bit of isolated rust in the original paint, only on the wheel skirts. Have them repainted if you choose or, simply remove them. Chrome wheel trims are available from Original Parts Group, or a number of places. Parts are readily available and cheap. Only other thing I would suggest replacing would be the arm rests. Brand new ones shouldn't cost more than 80 dollars, and install in about 3 minutes each. The rear bumper has a soft ding and, is slightly "tweaked" on the driver side. The interior is original, and actually very very nice. There is no cracks in the factory dashpad, and the original seats show really no wear whatsoever. There is some visible fading in the carpet but none in any of the panels, even by the windows. I'd suggest ordering a new carpet. I looked at many Monte Carlo's for quite an extended time before finding this one. I do not think anyone would be disappointed. I openly welcome and encourage anyone interested to feel free and have an independent assessment by a local appraiser for confirmation/validation. So, there you are Chevy fans..... A $12,000 Monte Carlo with an $8000 engine. Plus, a long list of incidentals (suspension, steering, exhaust, fuel tank, full brake system, etc. etc...... ). Basically, a wonderful opportunity for a savvy enthusiast. Bid whatever you feel is fair. This is a 7-day auction with a very modest reserve. We are intent upon a sale, and won't say no to offers, as long as they are done within the confines of Ebay. If you have any questions, I promise prompt replies. Telephone calls are welcome and encouraged -- Please let me know and we can arrange. Also, we would be happy to accommodate anyone wishing to fly in to view in person. Good luck, and have a great day fellow enthusiasts!
