This auction is for a MONEY GREEN 1995 BMW 525i with a tan leather interior. It is a beautiful example of an automobile of it’s vintage. The exhaust purrs, the tires stick to the road, it has the sporty yet luxury ride you have come to expect from arguably the best midsize sedan ever built — the BMW 5 Series. From the 80’s to 2015 they are sporty yet luxurious. From the moment I jumped into this beauty, I felt like I was back in 1995 wondering why I could’t find Biggie and TuPac on my local radio stations (well mainly because the radio displays CODE) and needs to have the code entered into it which is obtained from the dealer (won’t cost you anything) - an excellent anti theft feature for it’s time. The vehicle has 122,020 (aprox - car is driven very locally so allow a few extra miles) In the efforts of FULL DISCLOSURE: 1 - Radio needs antitheft code and the little mileage computer seems to not be fully working, either because the radio is coding or the fuse is blown, not the end of the world. 2 - The driver’s door is not opening with the key - we are assuming the lock cylinder was changed, simple fix just have BMW or your local key specialist cut you one (this is 1995, before the days of BMW keys costing 1000 dollars, its a simple mechanical key) 3 - The driver’s rear window is a little sluggish going up, it needs a little push sometime (perhaps some WD40 will help) at worst a used $40 motor or regulator will fix it completely, if you care to.4 - The SRS (airbag light) is illuminated it probably just needs a reset, worst case a used airbag module for 50 bucks. Those are very minor issues when you have 1995 sport/luxury sedan for a car that had an MSRP of close to 40 grand in 1995, that now you can enjoy for peanuts as it has reached ‘full depreciation’ in my opinion, the best way to buy a car of this caliber. All the industry mags rated this car a 9+ out of 10 when it was released. Most of these model 5 series that are on the road look like they have been driven through a war zone — this one is no where close, the tune of the exhaust note just tells you that it was well maintained - it will pass emissions, no problem. The brakes stop with minimal fade. The tires are in GREAT condition and sit on the stock BBS-type BMW honeycomb wheels - also in good shape. The leather is in awesome shape, one can tell by looking at the seat bolsters, as they always tell the tale, especially if a 400 pound guy was in and out of that car 10x a day. The seat bolsters are great. The carpet is in clean, well maintained shape, even the pedals look great. The transmission still has that sporty feel, gripping as it goes into gear in a sporty manor but not the "kick in the ass tranny’s gonna blow" feel. I am a BMW guy and I can tell you this one is a keeper and if I had the room, I certainly would. This is a great ‘starter BMW’ or one for a collection that can be made perfect for next to nothing. The body has two MINUSCULE dings (if they can even be called dings) in the rear passenger side door. I tried to show them on my 15 megapixel camera and they were BARELY visible. The original owner opted for the OEM BMW CD Changer and BMW car cover (with bag) which are still located (as pictured) in the trunk. Those things started blowing out one by one before the year 2000 in almost all the Bimmers 3's 5's and 7's, you know and it I know it and fixing them is a BITCH, You never know what the car is trying to tell you, so you go buy another cluster and then they blow out the next week!
