I am very excited to offer this very cool, very modified 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Diesel. This bad boy has had thousands of dollars spent to make it a one of a kind off road or bug out rig. It starts with a Chevy 6.5 diesel with mechanical fuel pump under the hood, then a added 40 gallon diesel fuel tank in addition to the stock 20 for 60 gallons of diesel. This LC does NOT have the electronic locking front and rear diffs, it has the center lock and that's it, please understand this when buying, this is not a reason to back out of your bid. It has a lift kit, larger tires, roof rack, snorkel kit, Winch with custom front and rear bumpers and so much more. We just installed 2 new high performance batteries and she fires right up and idles smooth. She also drives out nice with good power from the turbo diesel motor. The transmission shifts like it should with no slipping and no issues we can see. The body and paint are in great condition for a near 20 year old Cruiser and there are no rust issues on the body or the underside. The leather seats are torn but as you can see there are very nice covers over them, but lets face it you are not buying this rig for its plush leather interior. In the paper work we have it does show to have passed Colorado diesel emissions in the past. We can not guarantee that it will again, or where you live. We will also pass on the "diesel" owners manual and instructions we received with the car. I have tons of receipts for this truck everything from the conversion to normal up keep and general mantinence items including new heads that were installed in November of 2014 due to the esbar heating system which has been removed. In all totaling close to $20,000! This does not include the price of the Land Cruiser itself. I will pass all this info on to the new owner so they will have all the documentation. I have seen factory diesel Cruisers on EBAY for $25,000 or more! So here is your chance to own one for a fraction of the build cost. As with many highly custom and modified vehicles I am sure I am missing something. This truck has had a lot of time and money put in but is NOT perfect and as any project of this magnitude could use some additional items. It does NOT have an intercooler for the turbo and thus under very hard load, ie: pulling heavy trailer or at very high altitude with your foot matted to the floor the EGT (exhaust gas temp) gets hot and the truck gets hot, an intercooler or snow meth kit could cure this.
