2001 chevy corvette for sell. The reason for selling is because I am moving and cant take it with me. In may 2013 I just dropped a new 480hp engine with a hot cam that comes with this GM engine from JEGS dot com. Also had the transmission rebuilt to handle the new power and it still has a WARRANTY up to 100k miles. Engine only has 5000 miles on it. The body has 115k miles. 2 Owners and I have had this car for 12 years. The engine you can look up on the net at JEGS dot com, Its a GM 376 6.2 L 480HP HOT CAM factory engine from the factory. When I had the new engine put in I also had replaced new: -Belts and Pulleys-Starter-Water pump -Battery-OBX headers double coated inside\out-Radiator and hoses -Rebuilt stage 2 transmission with 2800-3000 stall converter-New GM 480hp 6.2 376 engine with hot cam-New OEM convertible top -Horn membrane I have put over 15k into all the upgrades in the last 2 years. There are only two things needed to get the car to perfect working condition. 1.) The air conditioner needs charged the oil drained out when they put in the new engine. ( cost like 200 bucks). 2.)The heater coil needs to be put in for the heater, I have the part to do the job, its probably couple hour job at best anyone could do it. *If you are wondering why the heating coil is out its because the engine, radiator and heating coil all froze up. They busted during a bad winter storm and that is the reason for the engine swap. Other than that the car is fully functional, drives and sounds amazing! Also the car has many customs:-Z06 charm wheels-Z06 rear air ducts to cool back breaks -Tiger shark nose and rear end with spoiler (new tiger shark fiber glass nose $550 or $750 polyurethane)-Custom paint on rear end and cockpit-High rise hood-slotted break rotors-480 6.2L engine with Hot Cam-Vortex Ram air I have invoices for the engine,transmission,headers,etc. Feel free to email me with any further questions.
