We drove this car for about 400 miles and it was MINT (as mint as you would expect for a 2000 model year vehicle) and then one day it would not start, the flywheel went bad. That being said, the car cannot be driven in it's current condition and will need to be transported. The car has newer aftermarket wheels and tires that are in very good condition. Overall, the body is in very good shape, as is the undercarriage with no leaks of any kind. If the auction goes over $4500.00, and only if that occurs, I will fix the vehicle and you can drive it home. If the auction does NOT reach $4500, then you will need to have it transported, which we can help you find - depending on where you need it sent, or we can refer you to a local, fair and honest mechanic to get it running, BUT ANY COST INCURRED WOULD BE IN ADDITION TO THE PRICE OF THE WINNING BID. The car is just about as perfect as you can get for a 2000 model car. The fact that it is diesel is awesome because it will run forever! This model was made LONG before the current problems you hear of in the news with VW cheating the emissions tests, this car was made a decade prior to that. The motor is GREAT, suspension EXCELLENT, steering is TIGHT, and the last owner stayed on top of all maintenance. If this car did not need a flex plate (which is welded to the torque converter) it would be worth TOP DOLLAR!!!
