I am selling my personal 1999 Eclipse GSX. 1999 was the last year Mitsubishi made the GSX which is all-wheel drive and turbocharged. Less than 4% of all 1999 Eclipses built were GSX models making it a rather rare car with around 6,000 made. The factory where it was manufactured is located in Normal, Illinois, less than 60 miles from where I live. I am the second careful owner. I purchased the car directly from the original Texas owner in April, 2002. At that time the car had only 26,512 miles on it. I was an international airline pilot (now retired) and I wanted a reliable car with AWD for winter driving to the airport. As such, the vast majority of the miles I drove it were highway miles which are easy on a car. Since I am now retired I do not need this car. I have maintained it well and it is all factory stock, never any modifications. It has never been raced or abused in any fashion. I am a non-smoker as was the original owner. I have all maintenance receipts for the 13 years I have owned it and a gas log book with all fuel purchases, they will go with the car. The factory alloy wheels were never used in winter and have no corrosion from salt or any curb rash. The original factory spare tire has never been used. I have an extra set of steel rims with Blizzak snow tires mounted on them that I used in winter. Those snow tires and steel rims will also go with the car. I have the original owners manual and the factory case for the manual, 2 factory ignition keys and 1 remote lock/unlock FOB. The car has never been in any accidents and retains all the factory panel VIN tags. The paint is factory original paint. Please note; cars paint tends to look better in pictures than in person. There are a few minor door dings, some chips and scratches that don't show well in the pictures. While the paint is not perfect, it's still very nice and presentable as you can see from the pictures. The paint was well maintained with regular waxing and the car was always garaged. The drivers seat has a small area of wear that does not show up in pictures. The sun roof had a small leak a couple of years ago, since repaired, so the sun roof sliding shade headliner has small ripples in it. Other than that, the interior is very nice. Everything works with the exception of using the key lock to unlock the hatchback. The drivers side inside hatch release works fine and that's how I open the hatch. I have changed the oil every 3,000 miles (I have all those receipts) and it doesn't burn or leak any oil. Mechanically everything works as it should, there are no fluid leaks. Note the picture of speedometer and tach. In that picture the engine is running and no other warning lights are on in the dash. The car has been very reliable, I've never had any issues of any kind with the turbocharger. The timing belt was last changed at 198,755 miles. The A/C blows cold air, the heater, fan, all inside and outside lights, radio, CD player, windows, cruise, etc everything works correctly. The car has no squeaks or rattles; it runs and drives exceptionally well. I would drive it anywhere. That said, I highly encourage personal inspection of the car prior to the close of the auction to see for yourself how nice this car is and to avoid any disappointments. This is a no reserve auction, high bidder at the close of the auction will have bought themselves a very nice car. The car is being sold as-is, where-is. There is no warranty expressed or implied. I have no desire to deceive or mislead anyone. I have never abused the car in any way, it has always been used responsibly. The pictures speak for themselves.
