Up for your consideration is 1 NOT RUNNING 1998 Mustang GT Convertible that was in an accident , but has had body work done. Please read this entire description before bidding on or buying this vehicle. If you are worried about buying this car without looking at it in person they don't bid or buy on this car until you have set up a time with me and have come and look at it.This car is being sold as is/ where is. There is no warranty or money back. I won't be involved in shipping or transporting this car, that is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will try to list as much as I can about the car , but I can't list every single detail. If you have any questions please ask and wait for my answer before you bid or buy this vehicle. I am located at 21740 in Hagerstown, MD so if you buy this vehicle you will need to have it towed or trailered to its new destination. $500 deposit if you buy this vehicle is due within 24 hours of listing end through Paypal. Vehicle needs to be picked up within 7 days after auction end and the remainder of balance must be paid in cash at time of vehicle pick up, but preferably as soon as possible because it sits on the street and it is hard for me to guarantee damage wouldn't occur with it sitting there. If payment is not received within 24 hours of auction end a nonpaying buyer case will be opened and the vehicle will be relisted. Please don't bid or buy if you can't pay. Now about the mustang. Please take a look at the pictures for details.This mustang was in an accident to the front end. The air bags were deployed. Part of the radiator support was crushed along with the fender and the fiberglass hood i had on it. It boogered up the front corner of the frame , but the body guy fixed it the best he could. The body guy also measured the hood compartment diagonally and it it was within specs, not sure if he had to straighten the frame at all. Both front fenders were replaced and the radiator support was fixed. The GT front end was also replaced with an aftermarket cobra front end. The shop didn't take the GT fog lamps out so they are still in there and if I were fixing this car I'd take them out. The driver side fender I believe it is has a small wave in it the size of about a quarter not sure how that happened as it was a new fender. I bought that aftermarket cobra hood that is on it but it won't latch. Not sure if the latching part of the hood was manufactured wrong or what. I tried to fix the latching area with some JB weld to thicken it up , but it still wont latch. You may be able to fix this. The little tabs that hold one of the hood vents were broken off so that vent isn't installed, but you may be able to put some adhesive on it to attach it. The cowl below the windshield i caracked by the hood hinge. I am also including the stock hood that has small damage to the corners and scraped and scratches from storage. You can have the cobra R hood that was on it in the accident if you want but it is damaged and not in the pictures. Also on the new cobra hood there is a line on the front corner, you would have to see it to see what I'm talking about. It looks like the fiberglass was bent? But it's a brand new hood and it looks structurally sound to me. The convertible top goes up and down, but does leak some water and could stand to be replaced.The interior has wear and tear and stains on the carpet. The dash has a spot that is cracked and two holes in it from where I had a tach mounted. Tach is for sale separately if you buy the car and would like to buy it separately to put it back on the dash where i had it. The air bags were deployed and I will include a used set that should fit. I also have a set of front impact sensors that go along with the car. The passenger side replacement air bag looks like it has some of the paint coming off. Forgot to include pictures of the trunk but the board that goes over the spare tire is warped, carpet is dirty, and the spare tire is blown, trunk looks to have small spots of surface rust. This car has aftermarket rims, but it looks like the finish has worn off and the elements have set in. You can kind of see this in some of the pictures. You may be able to refinish the rims. One center cap is missing and it will need new tires all the way around. I think the one has a slow leak and I think the others hold air but the tread is worn. The driver door mirror cracked and fell off, but a new one is included with car. Rear view mirror is also cracked from the accident. About the engine. Before the accident happened the intake manifold cracked where I think the water temp sensor is. From what I know this is a common occurrence as they are made from plastic. Included is a new intake manifold I bought, but never got around to replacing. I drove the car with the cracked one on it and tried to keep water in it, but can't guarantee it never ran hot. It burned a little oil and smoked a little when I drove it. Then I got into the accident and had the car fixed, but couldn't put it back on the road because I wanted someone to install the air bags. So it sat around. Then I wanted to take it to have the air bags installed but it has a bbk off road put I needed to take off. Well one of the exhaust manifold studs was was cross threaded and one of the studs on the other manifold was seized so I couldn't get the pipe off. So again it sat for years. Then I tried to go start it after it sat and it wouldn't start. I tried using starter fluid, but it would only fire up, but not staying running. So again it sat. As of now the engine will crank, but not start. So since I can't run the engine I can't guarantee the engine. You will probably need a new battery as I was trying to refill the fluid to charge it and tried to pop the cap off, but it must be a sealed battery because now the cap won't seal back tightly. When it was running before the transmission and clutch worked as they should. I'm not positive, but I think the car won't start due to a gas problem either bad gas or bad fuel pump. Even if it did start I can't guarantee how the engine would run. The catted pipe is also included with the car. I removed my CD player from the car. The stock cd player is in car , but doesn't work. The head unit/ tape deck is included, but not hooked up and I no longer have the plugs that attach to the wiring at the back of the stock unit. The headlights and turn signal marker lights were replaced when the body work was done and are new. Again this would make a good project car or if you just needed the car for the parts. Please ask any questions you may have before buying or bidding on the car. I have the title and as far as I know it is a clear title. My insurance covered the other cars in the accident, but I only had liability so I don't think the damage to this car was ever reported.
