2004 Mercury Monterey has recently been fully serviced. THE GOOD: Complete tune-up, new belts, new alternator, new battery, new tires, and brakes. Van runs great very dependable. Power everything - heated leather seats, cold AC. Dual power sliding doors. THE NOT SO GOOD (which honestly isn't that bad): Previous salvage title. Van was in a very minor accident and both bumpers needed to be replaced (see pics of accident last 2 photos). Insurance company deemed the damage exceeded the vans worth and didn't want to pay to have fixed (which isn't true was inexpensive to replace parts - $800.00). Bumpers were replaced and painted by my local Maaco (They actually did a great job). Van went through NJ Salvage Inspection and passed making salvage title clear again and van able to be driven again. NJ emissions inspection also passed and is valid through 2017. Do not be afraid of the salvage history - van runs great and I personally drove it from Florida to NJ and back this summer for vacation. There's also a small tear on the drivers seat where the stitching is coming apart (common in an older van) and a small tear in the rear seat caused by a child's car seat. Other than that the cars in really good shape. I'm only selling because I can no longer afford the luxury of owing an extra vehicle with NJ's expensive insurance rates.
