You are bidding on a 1986 Volkswagen Golf that is a 1.6L diesel and a 5 speed, and it was also repainted 4 years ago. Overall, the vehicle is in good shape for it's age. When the vehicle was repainted 4 years ago it did have some rust repair work done. All of the rust was cut out and new patches were welded in place. The only areas of concern are around the windshield and the rear hatch. Around the windshield there are a couple small bubbles, but it is nothing major. The rear hatch has some rust forming on the inside, but it is not visible on the outside of the hatch. It also has a couple of small dents here and there, but nothing major. The following items have been recently replaced on the car:- New Control Arms and bushings-New Front Struts-New Brakes, Rotors, Calipers, and Lines-New Exhaust-Engine was rebuilt at 189k-New CV Shafts This car after being repainted was driven as a daily driver during the summer months and has roughly 12k miles on it since being repainted. The car also averaged over 40 miles per gallon and always ran without any issues. The interior is in decent shape for its age and everything works in the car including the analog clock. We also have the original rims for the car, but only three of the center caps.
