I am selling this car to settle my fathers estate. The car has never been a daily driver since my father purchased the car. It was reserved for sunny Sunday afternoon drives and in my father's later years only made appearances in local parades. This is 1966 Ford Mustang convertible, a real peace of Americana. Here is your chance to own a piece of an American legend. The car has been in my family from the early 1980's. My father did a partial restoration shortly after acquiring the car but years of use has left it needing refreshed. The car's 200 cubic inch engine and two speed automatic transmission are original to the car since my father purchased it (I do not know the history before dad purchased the car) and are in good condition although it will not currently start. The body and paint are solid. No rust on the body panels. The floors and trunk are solid. All of the chrome is intact and shinny. The interior is worn but complete. The power top works, but it leaks and needs replaced. The tires are good, but the wheel covers do not match. I am unsure of the car's under-car mechanical condition other than it is complete. Many memories were made with my father in this car which will remain with us, but it is time for the car to find a new home where it will be restored to its potential and new memories created.
