Vehicle Detail

Will sell or ship anywhere worldwide. Attention Buick guys, and savvy investors: Ultra RARE and ORIGINAL Factory Dual Quad hot-rod Buick. Please read........ Here's the one you've been waiting for.... This car has been unused, covered, and indoor stored for very many years; since the 70's. Very recently, I've come to the realization that I will not likely get around to doing anything with it. Here's your opportunity. In order to describe the car most accurately, I would categorize it as a project car. With that said, I'd rank it as an ultra-sound and solid original car, with the exception of a substandard 70's paintjob that the car appears to be rejecting. It was originally deep, dark blue. In my humble opinion, the nicest Buick colour there was, and perfect contrasting compliment to the white interior. 99% of what you see in the pictures is not rust; rather, the white paint peeling. The body is actually quite nice. Interior is truly remarkable. Seats are great, dash is perfect, steering wheel is without cracks. The woodgrain is not cracked, and all the seats, and dash are soft and supple. Remember, this car was kept indoors, undercover. I believe you will find this car quite amazing. The big 465 Super-Wildcat engine has been rebuilt and run occasionally but, the carb gaskets are dried and leaking. You need not worry about all the expensive little tid-bits that really add up in a restoration. They are good on this car. For those of you that know what this is, I need not say more about the rarity. For those of you that are perhaps curious, please google and, you will find out what I am talking about in detail. There were only 2122 of these known to be produced, with few remaining. This is not a clone, tribute, or copy... It is the real deal and, is a special car. All in all, this car is in fabulous condition, minus the paintjob. I'd rank the paint a 1 out of 10 (or less if I can). If you've been looking for a valuable and rare project that involves only easy work and giant reward.... Here you are. I openly welcome and encourage anyone interested to feel free and have an independent assessment by a local appraiser for confirmation/validation. We've also decided upon an extended 10-day auction to accommodate and facilitate viewing for anyone who would like to come see in person. It should really be seen to be fully appreciated to it's fullest extent. If you would like to speak in person on the phone, please let me know and we shall arrange a time. There is a very nominal reserve but, we are quite intent upon a sale. Good luck fellow enthusiasts, and have a great day! On 17-Oct-15 at 17:20:33 EDT, seller added the following information: I have somebody VERY QUALIFIED to re-gasket and/or rebuild/adjust/balance the carburetor's at a great rate. I will also sell without engine. Please contact me to advise. Telephone conversations are very welcome, and encouraged. I'll be checking emails many times/day through the end of auction. Thanks again to everyone that has been so wonderful to deal with. On 22-Oct-15 at 14:54:03 EDT, seller added the following information: If anyone would like to see pictures of the engine numbers and VIN to be ensured they match, please send me a message with your email and, I will forward them to you. Meantime... I have a couple offers I am considering. Since the bidding has stalled out, I am giving them some more serious consideration. If you are serious about having this car in your own garage, I'd urge you to bid, or write. My last 2 auctions ended with me accepting an offer from the high bidder, closing the auction early, and finalizing within the confines of Ebay. Also, I'd like to put out an answer to a very popular question... Because of the age of this car, and antique status, it is free to travel to the States without any restriction. I have a little experience now, and know all the minor nuances in filling out the paperwork. I will take care of everything from my end so you have no worries, concern, or effort to put out. I hope that helps everyone out. If there's any other questions, please write. As mentioned... I am more than happy to help! On 25-Oct-15 at 19:30:09 EDT, seller added the following information: I cannot definitely read the engine codes on the passenger side of the block. They are in an awful position, and stamped quite shallow. I cannot get a regular camera lens, or even Apple-pad lens in position to capture it. I'd hoped to enlarge it digitally to investigate closer. I've tried rubbing them with crayon, and have even tried flour and icing sugar to highlight them. In any regard, and in an effort to be forthright, I would urge anyone bidding to do so with the assumption that this car is not a factory dual quad car but, a dealer installed one. Here is what information I can offer: With a mirror and laser, the engine code appears to be XX, followed by either 6's or 8's or 9's. Also 5's or S's, or even more 8's. There's definitely no J's or T's. Also, the car has sat in it's current state since the mid '70's. It has only been moved three times in probably 35 years. Hopefully next time it moves, will be to it's new owner. I believe it is the real deal. If it's a factory dual-4, you've won a fairly probable lottery. If it's dealer installed, you're still in the money. The engine codes on the driver's side of the block are clearly visible, and not obscured by an intake runner or anything. The are also vividly stamped, not full of paint, and clearly show matching numbers to the body VIN. I have had a lot of interest now in selling the engine and body separate and spoken with a fair amount of people. Right now, I have offers in the reserve range for just the body so, unless told otherwise, I will assume that's how the car goes. I also have several cars for sale. To avoid confusion, please send me a quick note before bidding or buying to be clear with what you would like. Update.... I just sold 2 more of our vehicles. Now, the last 4 of 5 of my auctions have ended early to offers and buy-it-now.
