Vehicle Detail

I want to fully disclose that I purchased this car in May on Ebay for $7000 from a buyer that lied about the mechanics, miles and number of owners. The body and interior really are exquisite, but it does need a lot of mechanical work and the odometer does not work. 1976 Mercedes 240D This Mercedes is definitely one of the most unique and rare cars in its class. Finished in Milan Brown Metallic with a Light Ivory top and furnished with Cream interior. This car is extremely rare and the last year of the w115 240D. Car has a tasteful era correct double cream hand painted pinstripe that beautifully compliments the interior and top. Engine and Transmission are in need of work, to what extent I do not know. This car is equipped with a pull-start ignition, that functions just as it should. Engine Compartment is exceptionally clean and dry. The two times I've driven this car the 240D drives and handles very well, no steering slack, and grips the road through every turn. The paint is in great condition. There is a deep luster and shine to every panel, no oxidation or fading. There are a few blemishes in the paint, but nothing truly noteworthy considering the age and condition of the car. The chrome and aluminum on this car is exquisite. There is no pitting, fading, oxidation, or scratches on any of the chrome. All of the aluminum metal trim along the window sills still has its original sheen, not faded or oxidized like a lot of classic Mercedes are prone to being. The bumpers and rubber seals are still in amazing shape. If you want a classic Mercedes that has an amazing exterior and interior, but ABSOLUTELY LOVE working on engines, etc. then this is the car for you. It is truly a project car. Feel free to email me with any questions. On Oct-17-15 at 19:41:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm uncertain what is wrong mechanically with this car. When it was running it smoked A LOT, ran rough, and the transmission seemed to have issues. I'm not a mechanic so I can't answer any questions about the issues other that what I just wrote.
