THANK YOU1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary Custom -- $24,900.00Introduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS. You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve collected and sold nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve collected and sold over 300 classic cars and trucks. I own the entire inventory and know each vehicle well. I don’t offer consignments but will occasionally list a vehicle for a family member or friend. I currently sell 90% of my classic cars and trucks privately on various websites and 10% of my classic cars and trucks at the Barrett Jackson auto auctions. I’ve had many vehicles sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles at multiple Barrett Jackson auctions. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’ve also featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I also have had many vehicles that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are already completed and slightly redesign them, service them and detail them. I have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. However, currently I’m not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! I opened the new facility located in Seekonk, Massachusetts in 2012. MS CLASSIC CARS is closed to the public but available by appointment Monday-Friday. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale between the current inventory and coming soon page. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. I’ll consider all trades. The power of networking is amazing! MarketI've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over 15 years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. I’m just a 39 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealer’s license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. The bottom line is I went all in. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” Marc Schiliro – The Owner Description1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary Edition Custom JASPER PERFORMANCE 350 V8 WITH TREMEC 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION!!!! 1 of 15,283 25Th ANNIVERSARY EDITIONS BUILT IN 1978. THIS CAR HAS BEEN RESTORED WITH MANY UPGRADES WHICH OUTPERFORM THE ORIGINAL MODEL. THE RESTORATION WAS STARTED IN 2010 AND COMPLETED IN LATE 2011. MOST OF THE RESTORATION WORK WAS DONE BY WELL-KNOWN CORVETTES AND CLASSICS. IT ONLY HAS 1,002 MILES SINCE COMPLETION. THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WERE INVESTED IN THIS BUILD WHICH IS DOCUMENTED BY RECEIPTS THAT ARE ORGANIZED NEATLY IN A BINDER. THIS BINDER IS PICTURED BELOW AND INCLUDED WITH THE SALE OF THE CAR. THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT WITH NICE GAPS. THE HOOD AND DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE GREAT. THE T-TOPS ALSO SLIDE IN AND OUT SMOOTHLY. THE EXTERIOR SILVER ANNIVERSARY TWO TONE PAINT IS BEAUTIFUL. THIS WAS A QUALITY PAINT JOB THAT WAS DONE RIGHT. THE PIN STRIPES WORK WAS ALSO DONE RIGHT. I DON’T KNOW IF YOU’D FIND ANOTHER 1978 CORVETTE ANNIVERSARY EDITION WITH THIS QUALITY PAINT. IT’S NOT ONLY VERY DEEP BUT VIRTUALLY FLAWLESS. EVERYTHING ON THE EXTERIOR HAS BEEN RESTORED OR REPLACED. SOME OF THESE ITEMS INCLUDE THE GLASS, STAINLESS TRIM, RUBBER, DOOR HANDLES, EMBLEMS, LIGHTS, ETC. IT’S BEEN BADGED WITH THE L46 EMBLEMS. THE CAR SITS NICELY ON THE NEW 15” WHEELS WITH BF GOODRICH RADIAL TA’S THAT ARE 255/60/15 ALL THE WAY AROUND. THE OYSTER INTERIOR IS ALSO BEAUTIFUL. THIS COLOR COMBINATION IS VERY PLEASING ON THE EYES. THIS CAR HAS SOME NICE OPTIONS INCLUDING T-TOPS, TILT WHEEL, POWER LOCKS, POWER WINDOWS, CUSTOM SOUND SYSTEM AND CARPETED FLOOR MATS. EVERYTHING IN THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN RESTORED OR REPLACED. SOME OF THESE ITEMS INCLUDE THE SUNVISORS, DASH, GAUGES, STEERING WHEEL, DOOR PANELS, SEATS, CARPET, CONSOLE, ETC. IT’S BEEN BADGED WITH THE L46 EMBLEMS. EVERYTHING IS IN WORKING ORDER INCLUDING THE CLOCK! THE BATTERY HAS A POWER CUT OFF KNOB WHEN IT’S BEING STORED. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS NICELY DETAILED AND HOME TO THE JASPER PERFORMANCE 350. IT’S THE “CLASS 2 VERSION” WITH 350HP @ 5500 RPM AND 389 LBS OF TORQUE @ 4200 RPM. WITH PLEASE NOTE THE ORIGINAL 1978 CORVETTE L48 ONLY HAD 175HP AND THE OPTIONAL L46 HAD 220HP. THIS CAR HAS OVER 100 MORE HORSEPOWER THEN THE TOP RATED L46! THIS ENGINE WAS PURCHASED FROM JASPER RAW AND FINISHED BY WELL-KNOWN CORVETTES AND CLASSICS. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT HAS MANY INTERNAL UPGRADES THAT IS ON THERE ENGINE BUILD SHEET. IT ALSO HAS SOME OTHER UPGRADES SUCH AS A CHROME AIR CLEANER, CORVETTE VALVE COVERS, EDELBROCK 650 CARBURETOR, EDELBROCK PERFORMER INTAKE, DELCO REMY DISTRIBUTOR, MSD WIRES, ETC. THE ENGINE BREATHES THROUGH THE CERAMIC COATED HEADERS AND FLOW MASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH 40 SERIES MUFFLERS. THIS CAR HAS A GREAT SOUND. THE ENGINE IS COUPLED TO A KEISLER ENGINEERING TREMEC TKO 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION. THAT’S RIGHT, THIS CAR HAS OVERDRIVE. JUST THE TRANSMISSION WITH COMPONENTS COST WAS OVER $4000.00. THIS PRICE DOESN’T INCLUDE THE LABOR TO INSTALL IT EITHER. HAVING A 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION REALLY SEPARATES IT APART FROM THE OTHER CORVETTES LISTED FOR SALE. THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THIS CAR ISN’T HIGHLY DETAILED BUT IT’S VERY CLEAN. EVERYTHING WAS GONE THROUGH AND LOOKS NICE. IT HAS SOME NEW COMPONENTS SUCH AS SUSPENSION PARTS, BRAKING PARTS, ETC. IT HAS FOUR WHEEL DISC BRAKES WHICH ALLOW FOR QUICKER STOPPING. A PROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL WAS COMPLETED BY THE GENTLEMAN I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM ON NOVEMBER 28, 2011. THE CAR APPRAISED FOR $21,500.00. I BELIEVE THE VALUE HAS INCREASED SINCE THE APPRAISAL TIME FRAME. THE APPRAISAL CAN BE EMAILED TO ANY SERIOUS BUYERS BY REQUEST. SOME EXTRA’S ARE INCLUDED SUCH AS CORVETTE PLATE FRAMES, KEY CHAIN, PICTURES, ETC. MS CLASSIC CARS COMPLETED A FULL CLASSIC CAR DETAILED WHICH IS VALUED AT $500.00 BREAKDOWN THE VIN NUMBER: 1: CHEVROLET Z: CORVETTE 87: COUPE L: L48 ENGINE 8: 1978 S: ST. IT’S COUPLED TO A TREMEC 5-SPEED WHICH MAKES IT A BLAST TO DRIVE. IT BREATHES THROUGH CERAMIC HEADERS AND FLOW MASTER EXHAUST WHICH SOUNDS GREAT. THIS IS THE PERFECT CAR FOR THE PERSON LOOKING FOR A GREAT DRIVER IN AN AFFORDABLE PRICE RANGE. I WOULD CHALLENGE ANYONE TO FIND A COMPARABLE CAR FOR LESS. GET IT BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES!” MARC SCHILIRO – THE OWNER Inspection Report"Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers and private parties aren't exactly what's being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell. I'm not a consignment dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck on a vehicle that they don't even own. We’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale. They never even touched the vehicle. Even with 15+ years’ experience and having collected and sold over 250 classic vehicles I’ve experienced that ALL the classic vehicles need some attention. Obviously some need more than others but the bottom line is they all need something. I do the best of our ability to purchase quality classic vehicles, prepare them and advertise them honestly. To be clear were not in the restoration business. I collect and sell classic vehicles that have already been restored and do our best to bring them to another level with service and detail work. Unlike many dealers when you call or email to inquire about a classic vehicle you speak directly to me. I purchases all the classic vehicles for MS CLASSIC CARS, follow the service and detail process, write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answers all the calls and emails. I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I knows about it. I'll also give you my personal opinion about the classic vehicle of your choice and decide if it’s truly the right fit for you. If you've read the introduction tab or visited myr website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world. These are older vehicles and aren’t new but were doing our best to make them function, look great and honestly describe them. I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value. Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I'lll make it a very easy process from start to finish. Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air. A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package. I'll also assist in enclosed door to door transportation. I look forward to working with you. Thank you for the opportunity!
