I bought this 65 Cadi from an older gentleman in Kansas who owned the car for many years. It has 61,200 original miles and has been very well cared for. Many new parts recently including brake work (turned drums, shoes, soft lines, etc), power steering pressure line, steering gear box rebuild, aluminum radiator, and high amp alternator. When I got the car there were some old maps from '66 and '67 in the glove box, showing that the original owner took the car to the grand canyon and all throughout Colorado. Pretty neat. Also in the glove box was the original owners manual and protect-o-plates. To make things even better the car comes with a 1965 Cadillac service manual! Car is overall in great shape. Completely rust free. Drives, brakes and steers really nice. Interior 9/10. Trim Code 341 – Sandalwood. The interior is in great condition on this car. No rips or tears on the seats, besides a fray shown in the pictures and a spot that looks like somebody tried to clean up a small stain. Headliner is in great condition. All windows, lights, switches, radio, etc. function well. No cracks in the original steering wheel! Car has the optional Soft Ray Glass and power windows. Windshield is original and does have two chips, no cracks, see picture. It also has the optional 6-way adjustment power seat, and power door locks. Another option on this car is Auto Climate Control. Air conditioning blows cold. The plastic cover for the drivers lap belt reel is missing, but besides that this interior has survived 50 years in great shape! Exterior 7.5/10. Paint Code 44 – Sierra Gold. The exterior is in pretty good shape. The chrome and stainless bumpers and moldings are all in great condition. There are a few small blemishes here and there, just the usual stuff for a 50 year old classic. The paint is why I give the exterior a 7.5/10 instead of 8. There are some small scratches, and chips. Please see the photos, I will do my best to document them. The driver’s side lower rear quarter is the only place on the car that has any body damage. Again please see pictures. It looks like this quarter panel may have been repainted, but there is no evidence of bondo or body filler anywhere on this car. The car spent it’s whole life garaged in Kansas and is 100% rust free in every way. Engine/Mechanial 9/10. Car starts right up, runs smooth, drives straight and brakes well. The engine starts right up every time and drives smooth under acceleration and going down the road. There is a slight hesitation when the engine is colder when taking off from a stop. Tires are brand new. Brand new PowerMaster 120amp alternator and 3 new Gates belts. Radiator just replaced with a Griffin aluminum drop in unit with dual electric fans, blast the air conditioning all day long! Fans are controlled by a temp sensor and relays, the whole unit works amazing. Rebuilt power steering gear box and brand new high pressure line. The only leak left looks like it’s coming from where the drive shaft goes into the transmission, it’s a small drip, it is not coating the underside of the car. Included with vehicle are gaskets sets for the valve covers, power steering pump, timing cover set, Rochester carb rebuilt, Hydramatic overhaul kit, and a few filters. Brakes recently gone through with new soft lines, turned drums, shoes and a couple rebuilt cylinders and they work great. Please see pictures to judge the condition for yourself.
