Vehicle Detail
This is an original (not restored) 'barn find' 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that was sitting in garage covered for nearly 20 years. It was purchased in 1996 with minor damage to nose due to previous owner hitting a fence. The plastic nose and windshield were damaged, and also the passenger side fender had a minor damage, these were replaced in 1996 from a donor 1979 car. It also has the more stylish and desirable 1979 Z/28 wheels. Rare factory custom interior, all original except for the rear quarter interior panels. Most everything are original and in working condition! Runs and drives, already driven over 500 miles with no issues. Clean title and registered as a collector car. Specs: original 5.0 L (305 cu in) with the TH-350 setup (LG4/Z28). 137,000 miles Factory: Functional hood air induction system, differential lock, computer controlled lock-up torque converter, delayed windshield wipers, dual rear view mirrors, fender and rear spoilers, front fender vents, computer controlled carburetor mixture. 1981 was also the first Camaro to have a "computer" New: chromed alternator, air/oil/transmission/fuel filters. New gas tank, new battery, headlights, hood insulation, horn, rebuilt carburetor, rotors, plugs/wires Modifications: original exterior color was 'charcoal' but repainted black in the early 90s. AC and emission system were removed for performance increase. Has no speakers as the car was sold without audio system (does have an older radio with CD player but not hooked up). Extras: Hose dressing kit, chromed hood hinges, steel/chromed fender support bars, chromed radiator support panel, adjustable rear air shocks, tinted tail light covers Documents: Has the original factory built sheet (!) partial/torn. Original 1981 Chevrolet Owner's Manual and dealer sales brochure. A Camaro restoration hand book (from 1995) and a new 2015 Camaro parts book. Needs: new tires, exhausts, headliner (bubbled up and shrunk) but have replacement for it. Floor pan has some rust (as common with these cars) also have a replacement pan for it. Will need new tires as these are the original tires the car sat on for years causing some vibration when the car is driven. Feel free to ask if you have any quesions.
