Here is a car you will never lose money on. It can only go up in price. The last year, 1970 Mercury Marquis convertible. Very nice “Saxony” paint with matching interior. Padded dash is flawless with no cracks. This low production, full size luxury car featured the 429/360 HP 4 barrel engine, 3 speed C6 Select Shift transmission, power windows and steering, air, hidden headlights, power top with glass window, and white wall tires. This was Mercury’s top of the line convertible in 1970 and sold for $4047.00. California no rust car. Original build list and owners manual comes with car. Ideal for parade car, club tours and special events. A very affordable car which I think is a “sleeper” not bringing Price Guide values of; average $9,100.00, high $17,600.00 with add on of 40% for the 429/360 HP 4V V8 engine and 5% for air conditioning. A lot of Cadillac’s and Lincoln’s priced much higher and quite common. Only 1,233 1970 Mercury Marquis convertibles built. I acquired the car from an 84 year old gentleman in our local AACA Club. If you desire these full size 60/70 era cars this one is very, very nice and is priced affordable with great potential for increasing in value.
