1939 Ford 1/2 ton pickup truck in excellent restored condition. Rebuilt flathead V-8, original 3-speed manual transmission (floor shift). This truck has been completely restored - beautiful paint and interior. All the glass is good - windshield is original. Window regulators are nice and smooth. The truck has been converted to a 12 volt system and the original generator was replaced with an alternator. The truck also has an electric fuel pump. The truck has seat belts and turn signals. All the gauges work. A water temp. and oil pressure gauge have been added (both are in good working condition). The odometer reads 6,587. The tires that are on the truck are Allstate 6.50-16 nylon tube type 4 ply Super Safety Tread. These tires have been on the truck since it was restored. They have virtually no tread wear and no cracking since the truck has always been garaged since restoration. These are bias ply tires, not radial. The truck also has new shocks and new radiator hoses. The motor number on the Ford flathead V-8 is 59A-6050-B. There is also a small metal tag on each of the heads that reads 7-17-51. It is unknown whether this is the original motor or not. The motor has been completely rebuilt and is in excellent running condition. The motor has no oil leaks of any kind. The bed of the truck is original, but the wood under the metal bed has been replaced. This truck was purchased from Drager's Classic and Collectibles in Seattle, Washington by the Electric Utility Company in Guadalupe County, Texas. GVEC purchased the truck in May of 1999 and used it only for parades and occasional promotional events. The truck was purchased by the current owner in May of 2010. This truck is very tight and runs and drives great! Original steering wheel in very good condition. Everything on the truck is in good working condition - lights, turn signals, horn, windshield wipers, speedometer, etc. This truck has always been garaged since restoration and only driven in nice weather.
