1959 NASH METROPOLITAN HARDTOP Has the desirable body style with trunk lid. Has less than 2,000 (1752) miles on it since restoration in 1999. Runs and drives great. During the restoration: Body stripped, primed and painted. Complete engine rebuild, replaced wiring harness, new regulator, rebuilt starter and generator. New rubber on windshield, rear window, trunk lid and hood. Undercoated underside, floorboards inside firewall, inside trunk and inside doors. ,. New tires, rebuilt brakes, clutch and chrome spare tire cover. Front and rear seat were rebuilt and upholstered to original design. Every nut, bolt and part was removed, cleaned and/or replaced. Needs new paint job if you want it in "show" condition, due to a few scratches or scrapes here and there. Except for one small dent on roof, the body is VERY STRAIGHT. All body work was done old school, by straightening or lead when filling was required. Interior needs the panels in front (under dash) and rear (beside seat). This is a great car that just needs a little time and love. It is actually worth driving and brings tons of smile everywhere it goes.
