1964 Bentley S3This car came to us as over a year ago as part of a group purchase. The time has come for us to make room. We believe that the car was imported into the United States sometime in the mid 70’s as evidenced by the extensive service file we have on the car. The British registration plates appear to be original to the car when issued new as they numerically indicate a 1964 registration. British tags stay with the car its entire life. The car came with a Rolls Royce Cloud III grill installed and a full complement of Rolls Royce badging and logos. I sourced the correct Bentley S3 Grill for the car and replaced it. The car will need to have the other Rolls Royce items removed or replaced with the proper Bentley items. Some of these items are decals and decoration plates over the original Bentley logos. Clearly this guy wanted a Rolls Royce rather than a Bentley. Based on the evidence in the Service file we can with a high level of confidence say that we believe the mileage to be accurate and authentic. The file also indicates new Master Cylinders and brake servo. The Bentley runs surprisingly well. The transmission shifts correctly. The windows all work, the gauges all work and the lights and turn signals operate as they should. We did install 4 new tires as the ones on the car appeared to be from the late 70’s and were just plain dangerous. The car does not overheat in traffic and stops fine. The paint is good and shines nicely, Clearly the car is a repaint and it does have rust showing on the inner rockers but I have been told by mark experts that the body is in surprisingly good shape relative to the cars age and clear lack of recent work. I have given you a very short description of the car and what its needs might be. I have priced this car to sell and it represents a great opportunity for someone. The car is currently registered and tagged in Savannah Ga under our company and will be sold on a transferable registration. I am open to export and the port of Savannah is very convienent for this.
