Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a very clean and original 1968 Dodge Charger. This car was purchased brand-new at Skyline Dodge in Denver, CO, and has remained a Colorado car its entire life. This is a recent garage-find car that has been sitting - untouched - for the last 7 years. 2nd-generation Chargers this nice and this complete simply do not surface anymore. Originally a 383 car, a 1967 440ci engine instead resides in its place. Car was delivered with a console-shifted 727, power steering, and a sway bar - all present and in good shape. Car is TT-1 Medium Green Poly with a white painted top and a white interior. The interior is 100% original to the car and shows very well for its age. There are split seams here and there, and a sagging headliner. But overall it is extremely presentable. Dash is uncut and extremely clean... with 150 mph speedo and tach that are in great shape visually but do not appear to be hooked up. Grille is in staggeringly nice condition. Headlight doors work like new. While this is just about as unmessed-with as any muscle MoPar, prior to the car being parked it did received the following upgrades/modifications: - 2200 stall converter - 3:91 Strange ring and pinion - New exhaust - Mopar Performance Purple Shaft .464" hydraulic cam - Offy Intake, Mallory distributor I recently purchased this car and drove it home six miles; surprisingly, it drives very well in terms of shifting, handling, braking, and overall solidity. The engine does not run very well however, with little power. It is clean, but it defiinitely needs to be run for awhile and tuned up. Car is not ready for a cross-country drive just yet. The body is very typical of our Colorado cars - very clean, and very dry. That is not to say that there are no rusted areas - because there are - but those areas are isolated. The lower quarters are rotten in front of and behind the wheelwells, and the outer wheelhouse near the wheel lip on the driver's side is rotted. The trunk dropoffs will need attention and/or replacement, and the trunk floor center panel needs to be replaced. The rear valance needs a patch on the passenger rear corner. The front fenders are in excellent condition save a couple quarter-sized areas bubbling through. And finally, there is one area of rot on the passenger's side torsion bar crossmember about the size of a hot dog. Other than these items, this car is extremely straight, extremely dry, and very, very nice to either drive or restore. Rockers, floor, doors, hood, valance, cowl, inner fenders, rad support, bumpers, butresses - all rock solid. There are 102 pictures of every single angle of the car - all the good, and all the bad. Ebay only lets me load 24 pictures, so please click on the link below to view the rest. I have a clean, clear title for the car. I also have the build sheet and the fender tag. ****************************************************************************************** For 102 pictures of the car, click HERE.
