1968 Dodge D200 3/4 ton Camper Special with less than 60,000 original miles. I purchased the truck on Super Bowl Sunday from the original owner from Chattanooga,TN. The documentation shows he traded his 1960 Chevrolet Pickup and $2163 for the Dodge in 1969. My Dodge is a 4 speed on the floor with an 8' bed. The truck does not have power steering (easy to turn) but does have power brakes. Because it is the Camper version the rear bumper is telescoping, designed to pull back a few feet to provide a step into the camper. I purchased the truck to move furniture to my new house 5 miles away. I replaced the clutch & flywheel,rear brake lines,rebuilt the carburetor. The previous owner cleaned/patched the fuel tank. Removed and resealed the radiator and replaced all hoses (flushed and cleaned cooling system). The Dodge ran perfectly during our move. It does not smoke or leak any oil. Hopefully the pictures show how remarkably straight the southern truck is. The patina is great and I never intended to restore the body or make it an everyday driver...I just needed a work truck. If you do intend to restore I will give you as accurate a description of the rust as I can. As for rust, there is light rust through on both outer rockers.The inner rocker and floors are solid. My mechanic said the rockers should be repaired not replaced because they are not that bad. Also there is a spot on the drivers side of the bed floor where the truck sat parked on a downhill grade (water could not drain). The bed rust is not structural, fix or install a bed liner. The seat needs to be recovered,and the dash is cracked. The front windshield has some hazing and should be resealed/replaced it will leak in a hard rain. All gauges,wipers and blinkers/ lights work as they should. If you are from PA. you may transfer the antique tag into your name and eliminate the PA inspection process. I have a clear PA title and the truck is being sold with NO RESERVE!! Thanks for looking Tom 570-249-4804
