If you're viewing this page, I highly doubt you need more information on the Model X, but you'll find equipment/package details below my background and deal breakdown. A little background on my $50K deposit and me:I am the PROUD owner of a Tesla Model S P85 since 2013. Deep down, I always wanted the Model X and paid my deposit on the X back in 2012 (before I even got the S)! Suffice to say, I am in the Top 40 for Signature reservations and will be able to receive an X very soon. When I originally found out the X would be delayed, I figured it would be less than 12 months so I went with the Model S and never really looked back (except for the fact that Tesla has had my $50,000 for 3+years and the stock was $25 at the time and about $250 now...ouch). Anyhow, fast forward to today and while I really want to keep my Model X, I cannot go forward in good faith given my expectations on the price are different than what was recently announced. I am a bit stung by all of it, but my "loss" will be someone's gain for sure. For example, if the winning bid is $60,000, then $50,000 will go to the purchase price of the car and the remaining $10,000 will be my goodwill fee. If Tesla permits me to just transfer the Reservation after you win, then I will just do that and keep the balance of bid less $50,000.
