I am selling a beautiful 2013 Volkswagen Passat TDI SE. The price is $10,999 (more than $2,000 below Kelly Blue Book). One owner; purchased at Village VW in Chattanooga. The car has 84,000 miles on it; it was a daily commuter to Dalton and Atlanta (highway miles). The Carfax will show you the car is ACCIDENT FREE! and the maintenance has been done according to VW's recommendations. The first four maintenance visits were done by the dealer because they were free; after that, I let my long-time excellent Mechanic do all the maintenance. Last week, I had him do a complete mechanical review of the car to make sure it was perfect, why? because I thought we were giving the car to my granddaughter. Since then, her friend got a Mini-Cooper, so, naturally, now my granddaughter wants a Mini-Cooper. So, you can count on this car being concours ready from a mechanical standpoint. As the one photo shows, the Kelly Blue Book for this car in 'very good' condition is more than $13,000; actually, I think the car is better than 'very good' when considering the mechanical condition. I'm selling because we now have more cars than garages; so, it must go. I live on Lookout Mountain, but, I'll drive to meet you anywhere in the North Georgia, Alabama and Chattanooga areas . . if you are serious. Also, I would love to accompany you for a visit to your Mechanic to have him look at it; I'll go with you; if he charges you, I'll pay up to $100 of his fee; I know what he's going to say, "This is a great car, it is mechanically perfect!". The exterior of the car has the normal minor scratching associated with parking a car in a parking garage in Atlanta; nothing serious. Also, one time when the car was detailed, the detailer used the wrong cleaner and there is a bright spot on the beige carpet that is smaller than a dollar. If you ever wanted to drive a Porche, but, didn't want to drive a car that looks like a roach; or, you wanted a Mercedes, but, didn't have access to a full-time, free Mechanic, this is the car for you. If you drive this car, you will want it, I guarantee it . .VW did an amazing job of engineering this car. Now, if you are concerned about the diesel engine (diesel smoking . . diesel odor); don't be. VW has engineered this car so that there is zero smoke and zero odor. Obviously, car will have slightly more mileage on it when you pick it up, because I am advertising it locally and potential customers may want to test drive it. Please do not buy car until we talk about all the slight scratches; I am willing to take 100 photos so that there is no misunderstanding about the scratches and marks. The scratches and marks are almost exclusively on front bumper (again, 84k miles of interstate driving), the top surface of rear bumper (likely caused by loading and unloading trunk); and, finally, the most noticeable (see photo) is of the scrapes seen on the driver's side rear corner (likely caused by neighboring cars pulling into adjacent car spaces in urban parking garages). My opinion: all of the cosmetic defects very slightly detract from the overall beauty of this car; I'm just concerned from all my thousands of Ebay transactions that you cannot communicate too much, particularly when we're talking about this kind of money. So, DO NOT BUY THIS CAR UNTIL WE HAVE TALKED AND YOU ARE SOMEWHAT COMFORTABLE THAT YOU WON'T BE SURPRISED WHEN YOU ACTUALLY SEE THE CAR BECAUSE OF ALL THE PHOTOS I AM WILLING TO SEND YOU.
