This beauty has to make NO APOLOGIES, she is just stunning all around! Background:Let me begin with a little background. This truck was ordered in a BEAUTIFUL color combination of Dark Emerald Pearl on gray Leather, which looks timeless on this FJ80. Covered in leather, creature comforts and wit its prestigious stance, it made a major statement. Even in 2015 this FJ80 looks stunning! The more powerful 4.5l i6 engine was now standard. Power windows, power locks, power seats, climate control, sunroof, leather interior and much more were all standard fare! This beauty lives in sunny, dry, temperate California since brand new!!!! It was serviced by Land cruiser dealers here in CA and even while being driven very little, started often and serviced with dedication and care. Let's continue to the service! The Condition and Service: Let's start on the engine and drivetrain:This engine has great miles for the year (a low average of about 7,000 a year), 136,000 miles appear on the odometer though the truck shows as one with half of that. It was driven and enjoyed as it should be. There has been A TON of scheduled and preventive maintenance performed to this truck to keep in near brand new condition. The engine is VERY healthy and powerful! With even a crack of the throttle it, more than many other FJs, feels torquey and powerful, and effortlessly pulls away! Don't feel you need to commit to buy an insanely low mile FJ in order to get a solid, worry-free truck. With proper care and a knowledgeable touch, a well serviced truck with a normal average sampling of miles will be exponentially more reliable than "well it has low miles, so I haven't done much to it" truck. The key to a happy FJ80 is maintenance! And a happy Cruiser will go and go and go happily for hundreds of thousands of miles. -LOWER ENGINE and BLOCKNo knocks, no bangs, no burning oil, A SOLID lower engine. Oil pan was dropped, cleaned, oil pickup cleaned, new oil pan gasket, new oil and filter! Mobil 1 -UPPER ENGINEBRAND NEW valve cover gaskets, valley pan gaskets, front timing cover gasket and seals and upper intake gaskets, all resealed among a few other minor seals. These were done in order to keep with the same high regard and care. The upper and lower intakes, valve covers and front cover were thoroughly cleaned. BRAND NEW lifters! -RADIATOR Radiator flows to keep this beauty nice and cool! The temp needle NEVER moves past 12 o'clock even with the AC on and in traffic. The proper OAT coolant is used after flush and brand new! -WATER PUMPAs part of the overall service a brand new water pump was installed as well @ 97k! Not once did this truck show a need for it, but it was done as part of the dedicated service to keep it in tip top shape and ready for the owner to go LOADS of care free miles. -THERMOSTATBRAND NEW thermostat! A piece of cheap insurance to continue to protect and maintain the Fj' cooling system -BELTNewer serpentine belt! -AIR FILTERNewer air filter! -EMERGENCY BRAKERecently adjusted and tight, only a couple notches on the handle holds the truck tight -TRANSMISSIONThe trans was just given all new fluid and shifts great! -DIFFERENTIALSNew gear oil in the diffs! BRAND NEW Royal Purple ( the best one yet hands down! -ENGINE BAYCheck out the overall cleanliness of the engine bay! This is not a steam clean special. This is a labor of love. A consistent cleaning to keep things looking great. Lets move to the suspension and brakes: -BRAKESNewer brake pads in the front and rear - loads of pad life! The truck brakes great. No ABS lights! -STEERINGThe steering is tight and has no excess play. Let's continue to the exterior: -PAINTThe paint is very nice! It is a 8+/9- out of 10 easily. Shiny, beautiful dark green paint was recently polished, finished and waxed by a highly acclaimed detailer here in LA. . He also commanded we should paint the hood and the roof, so i did, and It looks FANTASTIC CLEAN and CLEAR CarFax. NO ACCIDENTS. There are few very minor dings, very minor chips and flaws which are very hard to see in pics. There are a few scratches on the outside of the mirrors, which are not very noticeable until close and looking at them. Remember this is a near 19 year old truck, there may be some minor scratches, wear etc, but they are well below any expectation level for FJ80 or cars of this year. -TIRESTires have 99%+ life remaining and ready to go countless thousands of miles! -TRAILER HITCHThe truck has a factory trailer hitch! never used Onto the cabin: -SEATSThe gray leather seats are fantastic!!! They are incredibly supportive with what feels like zero foam wear. The leather is SO soft and comfortable. I truly love driving this truck. You sit comfortably in these buttery soft seats! The leather has been very well cared for and shows only extremely minor flaws at worst. The interior has been recently cleaned and conditioned as well! Words dont express well enough just how wonderful the seats are in this beauty! -HEADLINER headliner looks fantastic! No sagging headliners here! -CARPETBeautiful carpet in the truck! It has been shampooed and cleaned as part of the overall detail. VERY nice! -POWER SEATSAll power seat functions work perfect! Hard to find in a FJ80! -POWER WINDOWSAll windows work smooth and quickly! -SUNROOFSunroof works great, tips forward to vent and slides back to fully open! -RADIO OEM radio head unit and sounds great -AC/HEAT/HVAC PanelAC is ice cold and Heat is earth core hot! -MIRRORSPower mirrors work perfectly! -WOODVERY nice wood on the console and dash! I HAD TO REMOVE THEM, BECAUSE SOME OF IT BEGAN TO PEEL OFF -STEERING WHEELThe leather is nice with NO flaws! -KEYLESS ENTRYRemote keyless entry arms the alarm with a press of a button! ALL DOORS lock and unlock - -CARGO AREALoad space is in excellent shape! Rear carpet is fantastic, if not super perfect! -THIRD ROW SEATS!STILL BRAND NEW Driving this fj80 is fantastic. I hope you can tell by my long ad that this truck is a great pre-owned and beautiful fj80. There are other FJ', but if you do find one for sale and it has more methodical service, I urge you to buy it! Remember, a cruiser with 80k miles with questionable, unknown or poor service history is worth about as much as a Slurpee if you add up all the service that will need to be done to make it a reliable, beautiful, solid truck again. Don't spend big money on a truck from a "turn-em-and-burn-em" style dealer when all they do to promote the truck is say a few things they think people like to hear. As you may tell from my ad, I know the care that these trucks need and the details that make them tier 1, from a tier 2 or worse and I hope to have addressed them to those of you that know as well.
