Vehicle Detail

For Sale on eBay is my 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. This is a 440, 4 speed, Dana 60 (4.10) Super Track Pack A34 car. There were 1443 Charger R/Ts produced with the 440, 4 speed. Of those 1443 only 394 were built with the Super Track Pack option (Dana 60 with the 4.10 gears, 26" radiator, power disc brakes, 7 blade fan). Very rare to find one for sale. The numbers get much lower as this particular car came with a pretty cool color combo from the factory. This car has only been painted once and the interior was restored for the first time as well ( I have pictures). From the factory the car came with Go Mango paint (only 4.6% of ALL R/Ts were painted this color) and Burnt Orange interior (7.2% of all R/Ts came with this interior). Combined I'm sure a much lower number but no way of knowing exactly how many as most Burnt Orange interior cars came with Burnt Orange exterior. However, it does get better, it also came with a white Vinyl top and a white Bumblebee stripe out back. Really nice Tri Color combo, especially all freshly done. All the figures above come from the 70 Charger registry. This car has undergone a quite extensive list of new parts and I have tried to make the car as close to a new 1970 Charger as I could. I put nearly everything I could find or see on the car when I purchased it, back on the car just how it came from the factory. This was a full undercoat car, but had many places that still showed the Go Mango paint on the different parts of the frame. All of that was redone as I feel its pretty cool to put the car back as I found it. Many areas were haphazardly done by the factory which sort of made it even cooler to try and do. As you can see the front frame, transmission cross member and parts of the rear frame were left with the orange paint. Please see ALL of the information below, as it will tell the complete story of what has been done to the car. Don't assume anything. If I forgot to list something, and you cant see it in the many photos I provided, then please ask. I will provide all the information that I can on the car. It has so much new, that I'm sure I will skip over something. Please look at all the photos as I tried to document what was done to the car as it was assembled. So most everything replaced is backed with photos. This is a very rare car and rarely will you see one come up for sale. Do a google search and you will see how rare it is to find one for sale. Its an absolutely beautiful car that has been extensively gone through and is sure to be the only one optioned this way in whatever state your in. Enough up selling on the car, please read everything below as I will be overly detailed with what has been done. See all the photos as there will be over 75 photos listed. No Reserve auction. The kid is off to college and we are purchasing a home, so my prized R/T has to go. Body- Body was completely stripped down of all parts. This includes all interior and dash, wiring, front and rear suspension, glass and everything off the firewall. It was painted back the original color GO Mango Orange. Paint is PPG Base/ Clear and has been color sanded and buffed. The car is beautiful. There are about 70 pictures listed below to see everything that has been done. Parts that are new on the exterior are: Hood pins, Left remote mirror, wheel lip mouldings, drip rail mouldings, vinyl top mouldings, vinyl top, hood turn signals , door locks, door handles, R/T emblems, Charger emblems, front bumper, rear bumper, front windshield and gasket, White bumblebee stripe, Flip top gas cap and trim ring, pentastar emblem on right fender, rear back up light assemblies, front park light assemblies, and fender seals between the bumper and fender. Interior- Interior is completely done using Legendary interior. If you have ever done a colored interior then you know the expense it costs to do it right. Interior has new Legendary seat covers, package tray, headliner, visors, carpet, door panels. Also has new arm rests, rear view mirror, trunk mat, package tray jute padding and rear seat divider jute padding. Has a complete set of new seat belts, sill plates and dash pad. Dash gauges have been refaced and look excellent. Gauges are original woodgrain, and upper door pads are a set of used pads as I dont like how the aftermarket fit. Has new window felts. New door, roof, pillar and trunk weatherstrip. Dash was completely redyed a fresh coat of Burnt Orange. All pedals were bead blasted and repainted. Heater box received a new , correct, heater core and was painted. All heater components and cables were reinstalled. Electrical- All electrical harness were replaced, which include: Dash, taillight, headlight , transmission, engine, turn signal and tach harness. Everything on the car works as it should. The original K frame was pressure washed and all suspension was completely detailed with inspection markings. Suspension has original six pack skid plate on the K frame and torque boxes. Metering valve and proporting valves were polished for extra detail. Rear brake lines were also replaced. Engine- Rebuilt 440 engine with a .484 lift cam, double springs, rebuilt heads with hardened seats, double roller timing chain, new gaskets throughout. Has HP manifolds with new water pump, starter, distributor, all sensors replaced. Carb is 750cfm. Runs awesome and sounds even better. Motor is not numbers matching. Has new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, flywheel, torque shaft, bushings, clips, 4 speed rods, 4 speed mechanism and new console 4 speed pistol grip. New rubber boots, adjuster rod, pedal push rod and ball studs. No used parts to fail on this car. Everything was done with reliability in mind for years of enjoyment. Transmission is not numbers matching. Underside- Underside was completely restored and put exactly back how it was found when I purchased the car. Factory full body undercoat car. All orange in correct spots were put back. Underside of the car is completely clean and no dirt or grime can be found. Everything has been freshly done. Fuel System- New gas tank, fuel sender, fuel lines up to the car are completely new. Exhaust- HP exhaust manifolds into dual exhaust all the way back into correct Charger exhaust tips. Driveline- Rebuilt driveline with new yokes on both ends, new u joints and speed balanced. Rear end- Dana 60 rear end was rebuilt by previous owner when I purchased it so I left it alone inside. It has fresh 4.10 gears with new pinion yoke seal, correct tags, fresh gear oil and inspection markings. Rear end original to the car. Glass- Glass is original to the car with exception to the front and rear windows. Has a lot of new roller bushings installed. All windows roll up and down great. Misc- LOTS of misc parts not included with this ad that has been installed. Ad getting really lengthy but if you have any questions on any specific part just ask. Stuff like sunvisor tips, body plugs, hoses, belts, wiper washer bottle and lines, correct Mopar battery and hold down, etc have all been replaced. No expense was spared buying new parts for this car. Car has fender tag, door tag, Dash VIN, body numbers on core support and trunk support all match. As you can see a lot of time, money and effort has went into this 1970 Charger R/T. It is the last mopar I own that I have held onto. It is extremely rare and truly a one of a kind car. I haven't found another like it since my ownership and tons of google searches. I am selling the car on a no reserve, which means the car will sell. I've had many people in the past not believe that I would put a car on no reserve, only for it to sell and be off to the new owner. It will sell to the highest bid and will get fair market value for this week listed on ebay. Great opportunity for private buyers, collectors, flippers, classic dealers to get a hold of this car. Whichever category you fall into , this car will fit right in. Mostly everything on this car is new within the past 3 months. The car has 1000s of hours involved. So mostly everything is fresh and recent. Please read terms below. Overseas bidders are welcome to bid Terms of auction: Buyer to pay NON refundable deposit of $1000.00 within 48 hours of auctions end. Balance to be paid within 5 business days. No exceptions to either of these two terms. Buyer to pay with Bank Wire transfer or Cash in person. I do not want to hold any cashiers checks for this amount of money. My bank is small and the hold will be long. Buyer to pay all shipping or transports costs. I will help obtain shipping quotes if you need them. Buyer is purchasing car as is, with no warranties expressed or written. It is sold as is, where is, no exceptions. I will provide clean California title in my name for ease of owner transfer. Buyer is welcome to inspect the car or hire a 3rd party inspection. All inspections must be done PRIOR to auctions end. No exceptions. This is a true auction. You have 7 days to satisfy your expectations, and once auction is over, the high bidder will be the new owner. I encourage you to only bid what you can afford. I expect the car to sell the first time. Since car is on a no reserve and will sell, all that I ask is you have all your funds in order prior to bidding on my car. My last statement; The car is 45 years old. While just about everything is new, owning a classic car requires upkeep, tinkering, and basic general knowledge of the particular car. Please do not bid if you have never touched a mopar or have no desire to start learning. This car is fresh, but I'm sure over the next few hundred miles you will have a certain amount of tinkering to do (Adjust timing, carb adjusments for your elevation, etc). While I have worked out any kinks currently, the future is unforseen. Those of you that have restored a car know exactly what I mean with working the bugs out. Having said all that, the car is ready to rock and roll currently and has no issues. The car runs, drives, stops, with everything working as it should! Thanks for reading everything and good luck! much detail. On Aug-24-15 at 11:23:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm getting a lot of the same questions, so I will answer them here. Yes, there is the original spare tire and rim that come with the car. The Goodyear polyglass has never touched the road as you can see the part numbers on the tread still. It has a spare tire jack as well. I just removed them for the pics. I will update with a picture before the auction ends. The majority of the car was built professionally. Also, the car has tons of new hardware and small pieces not mentioned in the ad. The car was completely disassembled, and when it went back together the majority of the car received new hardware, bolts, clips, etc. Original bolts used were buffed. The entire car has had attention and was built to enjoy reliably. Also, the car has all new decals and part numbers put back on the car. Every decal that was removed was put back on. Part number tags were put on the new harnesses, etc. Lastly, the car doesn't need anything. Its been completed in the last 3-4 weeks so everything is pretty fresh on the car. You can add your personal touches, whatever that may be, but otherwise its ready to drive and enjoy. Thanks for all the responses!
