Vehicle Detail

This is an all original "Woody" wagon with solid body. 170 cu. in.six-cylinder. Engine runs, does not smoke or knock, the two-speed Ford-O-Matic transmission works well. The brakes work. Yard drives with a small fuel cell. All glass is excellent, with no cracks or fogging. The car has rust-through in the rear cargo area from the electric rear window being left down, the gas tank was rusted through, as well. (There is a used one on E-bay right now for $140.00, with a new one for around $350.00) Replacement rear window motor is included. Two new wheel cylinders are included. Some patching was done in the floor boards, but was done well. All four original hubcaps are on the car, and in good shape. The original AM radio is there, too! All headliner bows are present. All stainless trim is intact and AMAZING! Roof rack runners are in GREAT shape, but needs uprights and rails, if you desire. Every piece of the fiberglass Squire trim is present, but does have some cracks in places. All lettering and emblems are intact, in good shape, and on the car! NO RUST in any of the rocker panels! The exterior of the the body is STRAIGHT and in awesome shape, with no accident damage noticeable, just a few small dings only! All of the lights work! There is an incorrect ignition switch, (aftermarket) but it works. The car had been painted at some time, but it was done in cheap enamel, most of which washed off! I decoded the VIN tag, which indicates that the car was built in September 1962, at the Loraine, Ohio plant, with the "Blue 6" interior, and "Oxford Blue" metallic paint. This is one of around 10,500 total units made in 1962. The first year of the four-door Squire Wagons, and one of the first "Super-Deluxe" models! (The rarest of all!) Great restoration, Hot Rod, or Rat-Rod candidate! Put a surf board on top, and head to the beach! Delivery possible at $1.75 per mile, (Lower 48 only!) I reserve the right to end auction at any time, as car is for sale locally as well! There are not many of these left, especially in this condition! Every piece of the fiberglass Squire trim is present, but does have some cracks in places. One stainless trim "Button cap" screw cover remains, but new ones are available, from several sources. All lettering and emblems are intact, in good shape, and on the car! NO RUST in any of the rocker panels! The exterior of the the body is STRAIGHT and in awesome shape, with no accident damage noticeable, just a few small dings here and there! All of the lights work! There is an incorrect ignition switch, (aftermarket) but it works. The car had been painted at some time, but it was done in cheap enamel, most of which washed off! You can still see the original "woody" patterned vinyl in the side and tailgate coves, with the Black lines that make it look like separate pieces, just beneath the old re-spray! I believe the paint could be carefully removed, and the vintage vinyl saved, if you wanted. I decoded the VIN tag, which indicates that the car was built on September 6th, 1962, at the Loraine, Ohio plant, with the "Blue 6" Vinyl interior, and "Oxford Blue" metallic paint.
