I CAN TALK VIA PHONE IF YOU PREFER, JUST SEND YOUR NUMBER. I CAN SELL AT ANYTIME, AS IT'S FOR SALE LOCALLY. THANKS 1941 FORD COE TRUCK This will be a great truck for a pickup rod, car hauler, rollback, ramp truck, topkick, 4x4, or? Many possibilities. This particular truck looks to have been a fleet truck for a company at some point and is numbered "58" between the door and air vent, on the passenger side. These trucks also look nice with stepside boxes from the era, as you can see in the pics below. Used boxes are available but reproduction box parts are available to build a new box to your desired dimensions. I believe box sides, fenders, tailgates, wood floors, etc. are all available to build a box. I could help you possibly find a 8-9 box though of this specific era or up to '56. The body on this truck is really nice for a COE this old. It is almost rust free and very straight. There just aren't many around anymore that are this old, with a body this nice. They are either beat up/rusty, or have already been restored. This truck has a really neat brass grille ornament, and another brass ornament that goes on the grille lower. Many pics of other restored coe trucks are included, to show the potential of these trucks. I have more pics of this truck I can send, as only 24 will fit on ebay pictures. Thanks, and happy bidding. MECHANICAL This ford has no motor or transmission. I'm sure it most likely had a flathead V8 originally. Lots of people use cummins drivetrains in these now or chevy ls engines. A nice drivetrain option also is an isuzu NPR truck. The steering and mechanicals are already setup as a cabover and the 3.9 litre isuzu turbo diesels are great motors, that are quiet and don't rattle like a 4bt cummins. You can tune them up to have good power, and get good mileage from them. The original steering column and steering wheel is included but may not be pictured. The truck rolls and steers fine for loading purposes. I have another original wheel with bad tire if you want it. I can strap it to the frame. No radiator. It's fairly easy these days to find a radiator to fit or have one built, if you can't find an original style. BODY The body is really nice for an unrestored COE. The body is very straight overall. No large dents, and really few dings period. The fenders are exceptional for a project truck this old. They've been primered but I see no filler, and you can feel the inside also. The cab is really nice overall but one corner has pinhole rust. An easy repair. The doors open close and are straight. The grille isn't perfect but as nice as you'll usually find on one of these unless it has been restored already. Engine covers are included. Cab floors and dash are nice. The floor sections where your feet sit are plywood in these originally and are drivers side wood is gone. They are not structural, and are easy to replace with plywood. The jams, cowl, firewall, headlights, steps, etc are nice. The steps are not braced, and should not be stepped on. I can take them off prior to shipping, to ensure they aren't damaged. Some other extra parts are included. Front bumper braces are included. Only one door glass is cracked. The rest are not, and usable. Overall, it's a great old truck to start with for a restoration. INTERIOR There is no seat. The dash is uncut but glovebox door is gone. Inside of doors etc. are good. Window moulding is in it. Engine covers are in it. Steering column and wheel, with original horn button, are included. OVERALL This is a great truck to start with for a restoration. It needs full restoration but I'm sure you could use it as a rat and maybe do the fenders and grille to match the original patina. I like most of the old COE trucks, but the early fords are about the best looking. This vintage, and the bodystyle before this, are just extra cool. If you've seen a restored or rodded COE, you know how cool they are and are usually the talk of the car show. Many people put them on newer chassis, but you could use this drivetrain and shorten it to fit your needs if necessary. This old truck is 74 years old, and sold as-is. Thanks and happy bidding. Sold as-is. For sale locally also, so auction can be ended at any time. Get it while you can! > . On Mar-04-15 at 18:09:03 PST, seller added the following information: tuddy5 Store
