Vehicle Detail
1956 Ford F100 "Big Window" This is VERY SOLID, RUST FREE, California '56 Big Window. I've thouroughly enjoyed this truck, but I'm on to my next project. The stance and look of this truck is as "Old School" as it gets. This is my third '56 I've owned over the years and this one gets thumbs up everywhere she goes. This truck has some nice upgrades that make driving it enjoyable: * Brand New Exhaust from the headers back with Glass Packs and Chrome Pencil Tips (professionally built and installed)* Power Steering* 4 Wheel Disc Brakes* Early '80's Ford 302 CID (previous owner belived it came out of a Mustang)* Automatic Transmission* Newly Upholstered Bench Seat* Lowered to the perfect stance* Radial Tires with Chrome Moon Caps and Trim Rings* Front and Rear Bumper tucked into truck with short brackets The truck runs and drives great. The engine runs well, has no issues and does not blow any smoke. The new exhaust sounds perfect and the pencil tips look awesome. The body is rock solid on the outside and the undercarriage is solid and rust free as well. The body is straight and dent free. The paint is old and the truck deserves a new coat. The paint is cracking in a few areas and appears that it was originally red before the black was applied. The paint has a satin, weathered look to it which is pretty cool as it is and can be left that way, or repainted to the new owners liking. I simply used a wipe on detailing spray that gave the truck the sheen that you see in the photos. When I purchased the truck the floor and headliner areas were covered in commercial grade padding and nylon carpeting. I pulled all that out and took it to metal to make room for a professional interior upgrade. I never got to the point of having the interior done (other than having the seat reupholstered) so it is as pictured, metal covered with a rust preventer semi-flat black paint (rattle can). Again, it can be left and enjoyed how it is or the interior could be finished to liking. The windshield has a rock chip with cracks on the lower left hand corner (drivers side), but does not obstruct drivers view. The passenger side door window also is cracked in the lower front corner, but like the windshield does not obstruct views. The rear bid window and the drivers side door window is in great shape. Weatherstripping around the rear window is showing it's age. The bed is weathered but intact and the bed rails are not rotted. All the chrome (grille, bumpers, moon caps and trim rings) are in great shape. If you'd like additional photos of any particular area of the truck I'm happy to email those to you. The long and short of it is this is a solid, hard to find '56 F100 Big Window with some great upgrades. She is definately worthy of becoming a show truck or simply enjoyed "as is". Reserve is set low for what the truck is and I'm open to ending the auction early on an agreeable offer. I believe that a good offer is an offer that is good for both sides …. so please, no lowball offers. It goes without saying that she's being sold "as is" with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. I'm proud of my 100% positive feedback on ebay and certainly want to maintain it. Please ask all questions before bidding and please have finances in place / available before placing a bid. I'm happy to discuss the truck on the phone with serious buyers. Simply send me your phone number and I will give you a call. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and I will help on my end to make sure all goes well with your transport. On Aug-06-15 at 12:19:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had many questions regarding whether or not this '56 F100 is the "Custom Cab" version vs. the stand cab … Yes, this is a Custom Cab.Also, the front end is a "Volare" front end. As opposed to grafting in a front clip (which is the most intrusive modification) this front end has been nicely crafted with the addition of the crossmember, stabilizer bar, torsion bar, etc… without altering the original F100 frame.
