IF YOU'D LIKE TO DO SOMETHING ON IT OR HAVE MORE QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO EMAIL. I CAN SPEAK ON THE PHONE ALSO IF YOU'D PREFER. 1956 FORD F100 PICKUP TRUCK This is a great truck for a restoration. It has no rust-through, no filler, no modifications ever that I can see. The body is pretty straight. It is complete with the exception of the original wheels/hubcaps. Kits are sold to convert this truck to a big window if that's what you prefer. It does not look very difficult either. This year of ford is one of the most popular years of classic fords for restorations. Many restoration parts are available, including performance suspension pieces or complete aftermarket chassis. It's makes it easy to convert these trucks to have quality disc brakes, power steering, independent front suspension, better ride, auto transmission, and chevrolet drive train. The original drivetrain I know is fine for some people, but there are many options either the 56 fords. Below are all the details on the truck. I have a link with more pics I can send also. MECHANICAL This ford has what looks to be the original six cylinder with the three-on-the-tree manual transmission. I have not tried to get it running or turn the engine over. My intention was to try to get it running but haven't had time. The drivetrain looks complete and unmolested. Original air cleaner is on it even. The driveline is disconnected but included. The motor is most likely the 223 cubic inch "mileage maker" six cylinder. The truck rolls and steers. The corvette hubcaps are not included. I just put them on to see what it looked like in the pics. A couple of the wheels I believe are the originals, but two of them are different. BODY The body on this ford is very nice for a project. It has no rust-through. It has some of the usual pitting, but the floors are still solid. No pinholes anywhere. The paint all looks original. No sign of any repaint ever. No overspray anywhere or paint that doesn't match. No filler cracking anywhere or signs of collision damage ever. The hood is just sitting on it and does double latch in the front. The hood hinges are off the truck but included. They were taken off and lubed up. The hood is bent slightly but it appears to be an easy repair. The passenger side has a small dent in the door and a dent in the front fender. It's nothing that isn't fixable. Many replacement body parts are available the originals are easily fixable and better than reproductions. The drivers side is very straight. The box floor needs new wood and strips, which is the norm for pickups this old. Doors and tailgate operate as they should. Overall, the body is very good for a project and 1956 shortbox fords are hard to find that haven't been messed with. INTERIOR The interior is original and pretty basic. There is no carpet or floormat. The seat needs redone. The gauge/dash area is un-modified. No headliner. Thanks, and happy bidding.
