The stated auction terms must be observed to maintain this guarantee. This is an especially nice 1977 Mercedes 300D. The owner was from southern New Jersey, and has owned this car since 1984. This Mercedes has been very well treated and maintained and presently has 69,386 original miles. We rarely deal with classic cars, but this Mercedes is in terrific condition in all respects and in my opinion, this 300D could be picked up and used immediately, without the need at this time to have any service or maintenance performed. I see nothing to stop someone from making this 300D a daily driver. This Mercedes is and extremely presentable retro sedan inside and out, as well as being a reliable vehicle for many years to come. I’m not as familiar with a vintage Mercedes as an enthusiast might be, but we checked it out and I’ll tell you everything we know about it: The engine starts easily, runs smoothly, and is surprisingly strong. The transmission shifts well, and the whole driveline feels great. The tires are all showing good tread. The brake pads are in great shape as well. The oil & filter, air filter and fuel filter were all replaced last week. The power windows and door locks are working, as is the power sunroof. It appears that the fuel gauge isn’t working, but all the other gauges and speedometer are working properly. The factory radio does not turn on. The heat works, and the air conditioning works properly as well. All of the exterior lights are working properly. The exterior of this 300D looks great. I don’t see any rust on the body of this car at all. The rockers are totally solid solid, and there isn’t any rust on the wheel well lips. This entire car was refinished at some point, and there are only some of the normal imperfections like nicks or dings. I think the color is called Colorado Beige, and the paint is very glossy over the entire body without any faded spots or clear coat problems. All of the exterior trim pieces and body side moldings are tight and in great condition. All of the light lenses are in great shape and not cracked or broken. The bumpers and bumper trim are all in great condition and not pushed in or banged up. This Mercedes looks great from all angles. The interior is also in excellent condition as well. The MB Tex has held up extremely well, as it is known to do. The driver seat cushion is not as springy, but all of the seats are otherwise in excellent condition. The dash is in great condition with only a few minor flaws, and all of the door panels are in great condition without any damage. The headliner is also tight and in good shape. The carpeting is clean, fluffy and in great condition without any holes or damage. This has been a non-smoker owned vehicle, and there aren’t any interior odors or burn marks. This is a very nice, solid classic car, which can be driven and used right away. I don’t see any reason why someone couldn’t pickup this Mercedes and drive it anywhere. We have the clear title in hand. NOTE: We will be closed for vacation from August 10 - 17, and vehicles will be held for pickup until August 17th at no charge. REGISTRATION, TITLES & FEES: Out of state purchasers do not pay any Pennsylvania sales tax. A $60 fee will be added to the final sale price of each online transaction, which will cover document fees and preparation, notarizations, and courier costs. Temporary Transit Tags are available through the state of PA for $60, which will provide valid registration for a period of 30 days. In order to obtain this tag, please provide proof of insurance for any vehicle that you presently own. Titles are available to the buyer immediately upon full irrevocable payment, which is performed by bank wire transfer or cash in person. Otherwise, the title will be sent to you after your payments have cleared our bank. Occasionally, a title is still being processed by the state and we will issue free temporary registration until the title is received. All vehicles we sell on eBay are stored in a separate secured facility and we require that all vehicles be picked up within ten days of auction completion. Storage charges after ten days will be charged at $15/day for cars, and more for trucks and larger vehicles depending on size. (Storage charges will not apply to vehicles scheduled for pickup by a transporter). We will try to exercise some flexibility to accommodate special requests regarding our terms, if they are placed before the auction ends. We also sell vehicles locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.
