Vehicle Detail
Relisting due to nonpayment. This is my 1985 Honda Magna VF700. I built this bike to go anywhere! The clutch and brake master cylinders have been rebuilt, as well as the sight glasses replaced. Both front brake calipers and clutch slave cylinder have been rebuilt with new seals. The front brake pads are brand new, and the rear shoes were replaced 2500 miles ago. The front forks have new seals and bushings, and a fork brace has been installed. Valves were adjusted aprox. 4,000 miles ago, and I installed an UNI filter at that time. Carbs were rebuilt about 2 years ago, and I'm very diligent about maintain their cleanliness. The original fuel pump was past its prime so I replaced it with a Mr. Gasket unit, and it has worked flawlessly. I run two fuel filters, one before the pump and one right before the carbs. I do not have any fuel delivery issues because I run a 3/8" line as the output from the second filter, into the carb fuel tube, instead of the usual 1/4" line. This bike runs and rides fantastic!; Progressive shocks were installed in the back and are adjustable. The rear gear oil was replaced about 2000 miles ago with Royal Purple synthetic. I replaced the damper seal for the shaft drive when my original rebuild took place. Tires are Shinko Tourmasters and are a great value for the money. When I originally rebuilt everything, the coolant overflow tank was cracked, I made one from an aluminum water bottle. There are no leaks, but I have since been able to fine an original coolant overflow tank, but have not had the time to install it but it is included with the purchase of the bike. Paint is a hot rod flat black, but it is not a rattle can paint job! This is a two part urethane paint that is tough and will not react to petroleum based products. I've had fuel spill while filling, and as you can see there is no reaction on the tank. There is the usual Magna tick which can be heard on initial start up, but once warm, it is a very smooth running machine. This is a great motorcycle, but I have too many and need to downsize. I tried to put a link for a video of it running, but ebay won't let it post. If you would like to see it let me know and I'll do my best to send you the link.
