You are bidding on an amazing one-owner, low mile, and original 1978 Ford F-350 Ranger XLT Super Trailer Special pickup, equipped with the very rare factory Ford fiberglass "Explorer" canopy. It was purchased new locally, and has been well cared for its entire life. It has no rust whatsoever, is very straight, and runs and drives beautifully. It was ordered fully loaded from the factory, and remains original and in beautiful condition in, out, under, and mechanically as well. The Super Trailer Special edition features the F-350 1-ton heavy-duty suspension in a single-rear-wheel configuration... it will carry or pull just about anything. It has the biggest, most powerful engine option available (460 4v), heavy-duty C6 automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, cruise control, air conditioning (complete,but will require servicing), highest option Ranger XLT trim package, dual fuel tanks (both in proper working order), rare bed side spare tire, ultra rare factory Ford canopy, and more. The original brown metallic and white paint is in very nice condition, super straight, no rust whatsoever, and still very shiny... the truck turns heads everywhere she goes. The underside is also clean and original, with no rust issues. It has dual fuel tanks, and both are operational. The tires are in very good condition and ride on original wheels with factory hub caps. The bed has no rust either and features the original factory Ford fiberglass canopy; I have only seen two in my life. A very nice receiver hitch and trailer wiring round out the back end of the truck. The rare side-spare option was Trailer Special specific, and featured an extended passenger-side wheel house area in the bed, which created a cavity for the spare tire to ride in, accessed by a removable side panel on the exterior of the passenger-side bed. Again, very rare... I have only seen a handful. The matching Brown interior is original and in beautiful condition, as you can seen. The gauge cluster is excellent, and the dash pad has no cracks. The radio and in-door speakers were replaced with a more contemporary unit. The headliner is nice, as are the door panels. Overall, a very nice original interior. Overall, an extremely nice truck in all respects... I highly doubt you will ever find one nice, second-hand. Certainly not in this price range. Under the hood, you will find the truck as nice as it is in other areas. The big 460 engine runs perfectly, with power to spare. She has a new battery. The truck simply runs great; get in, turn the key, and go. Clear title in hand, VIN matches title exactly for export, and registration.
