Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2005 Suzuki AN 400 (Burgman 400 Type S) with just over 53000 miles that was recently in a accident (Me vs a Deer) This is a scooter that has been in my family since new and has been meticulously maintained. With the exception of a few oil changes all regular service has been done by Martin Motorsports in Boyertown PA where it was purchased new. I have all maintenance records and the scooter is currently registered and inspected. Prior to the accident this was a regularly ridden bike with no known mechanical faults. I have a clear title in hand (not salvage) The scooter is a Type S with a GIVI trunk. In early June of this year I put in a new battery and changed the oil. After I was done, I took a ride through a local state park near dusk, hit a deer and had to lay the scooter down on the right side. After the accident I was able to ride the bike home and have been able to put several miles on the scooter with no obvious mechanical problems noted. The bike appears to start, run and ride without any trouble. There is damage to the Bike which I tried to highlight in the pictures. The windshield is broken, front and right side fairings damaged as well as the glove box area and the floor board. Right front turn signal is missing, but all other lights function properly. The windshield that was broken was an aftermarket and I do have the stock unbroken windshield. There are also various scratches on the bike, mirrors, center stand and the GIVI bag on the back. I am not a mechanic. I have ridden the bike short distances as mentioned since the accident and it appears to be riding as it should. HOWEVER; I have not removed fairings to determine the extent of the damage, and I have not had it assessed by a mechanic to determine extent of damage or repair estimate. The scooter is being sold AS IS WITHOUT A WARRANTY and would likely not pass state inspection given the current damage (light). Buyer is responsible for all repairs For someone who is mechanically inclined this may be a great opportunity to get a good scooter at a decent price Title transfer at any local PA Tag/Title.
