Vehicle Detail
This is a NO Reserve Auction with a low starting bid. You’re looking at a Great 1978 VW Riviera Camper that spent its life in the North West Washington and Oregon until I purchased it 7 years ago.The odometer shows 41049.7 miles but not sure if actual. It has the original interior and still has the rare Roll Up storage doors. Vehicle comes with stove, propane system, refrigerator, sink and water tank. Van was painted by the previous owner some time in its past and does sport a couple of dings and scratches it earned along the way but it is fairly straight (please see pictures) remember it is 37 years old but in really great shape. This would be a prime vehicle to do a total restoration on since it is virtually rust free with no rust holes. It has good glass, floor boards, battery trays look great. Tires are in decent shape and have good tread life on them. The driver and passenger seats are free of any rips. The pop up tent is in really good shape and sports zip out windows. Lights, turn signals work. The bad the interior cushions could use upholstering , window seals are hard and dry rotted looking, paint is not perfect, and screen on pop up has some holes but they do not effect the use. Window wipers work but are slow. I have tried to accurately describe the van the best as I can if there are any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them.I have personally owned this vehicle for approximately 7 years and have done some cross country trips in it but lately have only use it for camping and short trips locally. I will say that whenever I take the camper/van out people are constantly honking, waving, smiling, commenting, and wanting to look at it. It seems to draw attention wherever it goes. The van has been registered and tagged until recently and comes with a bill of sale only as vehicles older than 1984 in the state of Georgia do not require them. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. A $500 deposits is due immediately by the wining bidder. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding as this auction is considered a legally binding contract. ( I have never used either but came with the van when I bought it)
