*** PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THE ENTIRE POSTING *** THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, YOU ARE BIDDING TO BUY, NOT TO LOOK. I ENCOURAGE ALL PROSPECTIVE BUYERS TO ARRANGE AN INSPECTION OR COME DOWN PERSONALLY AND TAKE A LOOK. (I'm in central NJ very often, and sometimes Brooklyn) For Sale : 2004 Ford Crown Victoria P71 / Police Interceptor, 103k miles. The Crown Vic was NEVER in Police Service. It was purchased by the Department of the Interior, Division of Fish and Wildlife. I have a copy of the original window sticker which indicates that it was delivered directly to a Fish and Wildlife office in Edison, NJ. I purchased this car with 55k miles in 2009. I have used it as a daily driver since. It has required very little service since I've owned it. I had no intentions of selling it, but I just purchased a 2006 Dodge Charger Police package from Fish and Wildlife. Recent servicing: @ 99,552 miles 4 New Police rated Raybestos rotors New Police rated Raybestos Brake pads New oil cooler lines Oil change (MOTORCRAFT 5W-20) Front sway bar links @ 90k miles 4 new Goodyear RS-A Police Spec tires Other maintenance Starter Windshield wiper motor (Motorcraft) Serpentine belt, tensioner and idler I have a folder of service records and receipts for all maintenance and service performed on this car. I had a remote starter, keyless entry and trunk release installed with excellent range. I have 2 remotes. (I'm so happy with this model, I'll have it installed in the Charger) "For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you will know that 2004 models are the ones to have...they are the quickest Crown Victorias, period. This was due to two things; it was the last year for the mechanical throttle linkage (which was much more responsive and not prone to trouble) and the first year for many changes in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004 Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake system. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance. To put it simply...the 2004 will run circles around any other year Crown Victoria due to this combination of things. This was an unexpected result, but ended up making the 2004's legendary. From 2005 to present, the Crown Victoria was much slower from 0-60 mph (most tests show there to be 2-3 seconds difference, which is quite a bit, and a noticeable difference when driving one) although the top speeds remained the same from 2004 to 2011, the final year of production.
These are the Crown Victoria aficionados lust after, and this is an unmolested example.

It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast." ((The above was copied from a posting that I read about the 2004 Crown Vics)) I've been getting about 20 MPG commuting to and from work (Staten Island to NYC). I will continue to use this car as a daily driver, so the mileage will increase. I'm on vacation this week and usually use this car for commuting, so the mileage won't be too much higher. I'm sure I've forgotten some of the fine points of the car, so please feel free to reply to this posting and I will answer emails ASAP. The car has some minor scuffs, scratches and marks as would be expected for a car of this age. I have recently noticed that the roof will need some attention. There are a number of small rust bubbles across the roof and it will need sanding and re-painting. If I were to keep the car, I would have it repaired, but I'd rather have buyers see what they're getting, instead of covering it up. The car shines nicely as I have recently done a complete detailing. Clay, compound and waxing. It could use a new coat of wax. The interior has cloth seats front and rear, and has factory carpet. I believe 3 of the original floor mats are in the car too. No unusual stains, rips or tears. The car is sold as-is. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere. This would make a a great Uber car, car service, taxi or security vehicle. Thanks for looking. Relisted due to corrected AutoCheck score and start time.On Jul-06-15 at 06:29:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry, this car DOES NOT have power seats. On Jul-06-15 at 14:15:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I found a receipt for a Gates Serpentine Belt and Motorcraft Tensioner... I'm sure I did the idler pulley also, just didn't find that receipt. These parts were installed in March 2014 @ approximately 95k miles
