Vehicle Detail
2000 Triumph Tiger 885i. I'll start with the bad. It currently isn't running properly. I was out for a ride when it died on me. I trailered it home, hooked it up to the laptop, and it indicated a bad Throttle Position Sensor. I replaced the part, and it still show a TPS error. It starts and idles now, but it's running very rich and will shut off if you stab the throttle. I was planning to sell it anyhow, and I don't want to mess with it anymore. It also has a small oil drip from around the alternator, and it also leaks a little coolant (it wicks out from the head gasket and is a known issue with these bikes). The graphics on the tank have bubbles (again, a known problem...the fumes from the fuel leach through the plastic tank and cause bubbles under the vinyl graphics) It will need new tires soon. The bike has been dropped at least once. I dropped on its right side it taking it off the centerstand once. The previous owner claims never to have dropped it, but both sides of the tank were scratched and there is a small patch. The gear selector lever was also bent (It has been replaced). So I know it had to have been dropped at least one other time. The bike has Corbin SeatTop CaseTall and short windscreensCenter and side stands Includes Factory and Haynes service manualsTank coverExtra spark plugsNew in box brake linesExtra fuel tankUSB to OBD2 cable (There is freeware out there to read error codes, test/reset various sensors, and change fuel mapping. I used TuneECU)Clear Ohio titleMisc other parts In 2013 I replaced the Idle Air Controller. While I was at it, I changed the plastic fuel tank fittings to metal, and added the centerstand. When I changed the fuel tank fittings I snapped one of the plastic fittings off. It was cheaper to buy a whole other tank instead of just the fuel plate. The extra tank is also pretty scratched up, and obviously has plastic in the fitting threads. A quick hit with tap should clean it out. In April 2014 I flushed the coolant. In Sept 2014 the battery was replaced (the battery was kept on a trickle charger over the winter) In June 2015 I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor. While in there I also replaced the radiator cap, air filter, fuel filter, throttle body gasket, spark plugs (I forgot I already had a set and bought another, that's why there's an extra set included) and changed the oil and oil filter. I won't setup shipping, but I will work with any shipper that you arrange. I can deliver the bike for free within 75 miles of 43015. $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close. The remainder is due, in cash, at pickup/delivery.
