Vehicle Detail

1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible, 389 4bbl all original except for a re-paint about 20 years ago. Car has factory bucket seats, center console power steering, dual exhaust, power brakes, factory vacuum gauge, working factory Am/Fm radio, power top in great condition with no tears and good back window. Tires are in brand new condition, everything works as it should (except the clock), car runs and drives great. This car is in real nice shape showing some scratches and dings from normal wear however paint still shines and looks good. The underside of this car is unbelievable, still has factory brake and fuel lines in perfect condition, no rust no holes ever, floors and trunk are perfect.........odometer shows 8842 miles, I assume it has flipped but am not sure. NADA average retail on this car is 36,800.00, high retail is 62,330.00 my reserve is set WAAYY below average retail, priced to sell. This car can be riven daily and shown on the weekends. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. You wont find one nicer for this price.......................... 500.00 deposit through PayPal within 48 hours of purchase, full CASH payment within 7 days of purchase unless you make other arrangements with me prior to the end of auction. You wont find one nicer for this price.......................... Car is available to inspect or test drive just email me if you would like to see her. I am sure I forgot things, just ask I will answer all questions. Available for sale locally as well.On Jul-02-15 at 04:51:21 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple of people have asked about the paint......there are some minor scratches that you really have to look for to see, there are also a few chips that have been touched up over the years, mostly on the door edges and trunk near the left quarter, if i were to count i believe there are 4 spots with touch up paint on them and one chip the size of a dime on the quarter that could use touch up paint, again this paint is 20 years old however it still looks really good. When I was waxing it yesterday i did find one bubble half the size of a dime on the lower portion of the right fender near the rocker molding. the wheel lips are perfect. I will get a photo of the trunk uploaded today sometime. On Jul-02-15 at 07:18:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok more questions, a few folks have asked me how the car runs............Car starts right up with one pump, it could use a starter relay that intermittently doesn’t allow the car to start with the key however the previous owner did an old school fix with a push button hidden under the dash that works fine when that happens so I never spent the 75.00 to replace the relay. Car sounds great, I drove her for about 60 miles yesterday, she ran smooth however did hesitate a bit as she warmed up for the first mile or two (choke adjustment?) once she was warmed up there was zero hesitation and excellent acceleration (lots of power), car goes into gear fine and shifts smooth when driving, there WAS a wine from the rear end when i got her, i completely disassembled the rear and replaced both axel bearings as well as the pinion bearing, she is quiet as a church mouse now. There are two small drips that I get on the garage floor when she is parked, i believe one is from the valve cover gasket and the other is from the pan gasket on the transmission. Again if you are looking for a car that needs absolutely nothing this isn’t for you, look for a 40-50k restored vehicle. This is a 50 year old survivor that is very clean, it can be enjoyed, driven and be displayed proudly at any car show while you tinker with it to fix any minor problems she may have. Keep the questions coming, and feel free to come and take a look at it or take her for a spin, I will be home for the long weekend if you want to visit sunny Rochester NY :). Also I do have a local guy who can deliver, he routinely goes to PA and NYC however will usually deliver within 500 miles of Upstate NY, let me know where you are, i will see if he goes there and how much he would charge. On Jul-02-15 at 20:09:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes, for those that asked I do have PHS documents with this car.
