NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!!!!! 1976 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Stingray The Corvette was purchased in 1998 in Wellington Kansas. When purchased, it had 34,270 miles on the odometer, now has 36,265. The person selling the car said they were original miles, no way of telling if that was true, though the title did agree with the numbers. I was told it was is a numbers matching car, the number on the block matches the VIN, though I haven't been under the car to look at the transmission number. It hasn't been driven much during our ownership, started having children soon after purchase and just didn't have enough room to hold the family. Hasn't been driven at all since 2011. When purchased it ran well and most everything worked. Sitting hasn't helped the car. It has been garaged since we purchased it so it has been animal free but that hasn't kept it from developing some issues. It has some cracks and chips in the paint, also the hood appears to be a little different shade of red than the body. At some point in it's life, it was two toned with white paint. It has always been a head turner, people have always complemented me on the looks of the car. As stated earlier it runs and drives but doesn't stop. The brakes have stopped working and I have noticed brake fluid near the wheels, so it most likely needs new brake lines. The engine seems to be running pretty good. The windows aren't going down, not sure what is going on with that, they used to work just fine. The speedometer works but the tachometer doesn't. The gauges aren't working either, again not sure why as they did when it was parked. The horn and headlights work, as well as the blinkers and brake lights. The windshield wipers work as does the blower motor for the heater/ac though the air conditioner does not blow cold air anymore. The reverse/key lockout is still working and is functional. Power steering is in working condition. The interior is in fair condition, carpet is faded in spots. The plastic armrest is cracked but covered with a leather cover. The white leather seats are in pretty good condition considering their age. The car has vintage American Racing wheels, no spare tire or jack. The radio powers on but isn't working very well. It needs work, not going to say it doesn't. I am not sure if anything else other than described is wrong with the car, I can't drive it far enough to really tell with no brakes. I just don't have the time or interest to fix it up. There is no warranty with the car, it's an As/Is purchase. I have a clear Kansas Title. Obviously the car can't be driven home or test driven. All information I have given is to the best of my knowledge, I could be wrong as I am not an expert. Buyer is responsible for pickup/delivery.
