Vehicle Detail
Breath taking rust free older resto 1948 Cadillac numbers matching original flathead 346 v-8 and auto hydramatic , runs great, driven weekends and to cruise nights, stored winters, first year OF REAR WINGS RESEMBLING P-38 FIGHTER AND ONLY YEAR WITH RAINBOW CLUSTER INSTRUMENT GAUGE APPROX 21,000 SERIES 62 SEDANS BUILT older nut and bolt custom resto,12 volt converted all new wiring, beautiful show quality rose gold metallic paint, has a few minor blemishes, bubbles in paint where custom welds were made to close fender gaps. overall 9.0/10, shaved doors, needs gas tank float replaced which I have, speedo needs to be cleaned and possibly rebuilt again, a must see car. Just voted best Car at cruise night. A real beauty! No rust underneath like new and restored. Interior seats are good no rips or tears front could use a redo to make mint, all door panels and headliner excellent, including wind lace. Thanks for looking! Happy Motoring! Serious bidders only! bidders with no feedback or negative feedback must contact me before bidding. Inspections welcomed and encouraged. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction at any time. Ask questions before placing your bid. Email me with your name and number to set up inspection. Being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied winning bidder owns car. On Jun-21-15 at 03:42:14 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a few questions; No, radio does not work, ( but beautiful chrome buttons and face radio glass not cracked) clock was converted to battery operated. Trim presents well, patina here and there driver quality. Brand new exhaust front to back and brand new water pump and belts. No vapor lock has auxiliary carter electric fuel pump, car does not overheat radiator restored, flushed and cored like new. Repair manuals and some extra parts included with sale. She presents excellent overall , not a show car or trailer queen but definitely turns heads and could win a trophy or two. Low reserve reflects condition of car she is fairly priced. You could never restore or come close to the time and money put into her for the price she is selling for as with all these cars you never get back the money you throw into them. The paint job alone with the custom body work even though older cost over the reserve price. The best money spent as they say when buying a classic is someone elses! Any more questions feel free to email, come over take a look and feel free to bring your expert or mechanic. As you can see the radio and rainbow cluster face for its age is beyond mint show quality. There are many aspects of this car that are just stunning again overall she is an easy # 3 condition but you be the judge and bid accordingly and would not take much at all to bring her to another level with minimum expense. I will not disclose the reserve but she is priced under her worth to the right buyer who will appreciate the work already done. Interior door panels ect where all restored, if you where to pull off the door panels you would see the total restoration work that was done. She just needs a little here and there type trim work and tinkering but nothing other then making her better then what she already is. The wing vent window handles have to be swapped out front need to go to back and vice versa easy fix they where put in reverse when car was restored. There are no glass cracks and an extra piece will come with car plus other extras worth some nice sums of money. There are some chips in paint on passenger side fender where it meets the door and I counted 3 bubbles in paint. Again not rust! just lifting from where the custom welds where done to seal the fenders giving it that sleek custom look. All trim holes where welded shut trim is not mechanically fastened. Yes she has working heat and blower. Brand new battery with cutoff for storage. push button factory correct start. Rebuilt starter in like new condition. Only reason I am selling is to make room for another project when you come to see her or winning bidder you will see the other cars I own! Bottom line you cannot go wrong in any way shape or form for the reserve price. She is a neck breaker, thumbs up and traffic stopper period! Good luck!
