I bought this vehicle as the third buyer. That said, I have had extensive experience with 6.2/6.5 Diesels, I have owned them since 1983 on and off. this vehicle is not the run of th mill Suburban. I have rebuilt or refurbished a lot of items. NEW: Batteries, High Volume Radiator, High Capacity Water Pump, Oil Cooler (with SS Flex Lines),Replaced the Timing Chain with a Gear Set so Engine Timing is Dead On Center ( No Noise) , Harmonic Balancer (Fluidamper), Replaced all Injectors and Lines. REPAIRED : Rebuilt Trans (2010) added High Capacity Trans Pan and Performance Torque Converter, Rebuilt Transfer Case/ w Selector Motor (2014), Added New Hoses as needed. Have always used the Best oil (AMSOIL) in it, along with all the rest of it fluids. The truck Started out with 13. MPG/ NOW it is getting 19.5 MPG with 42 Gal Tank. I have added Fog Lights and Off Road Driving Lights along with a new Grille. Now the Bad News: It's time for a new IP, and quite frankly I don't have the time or money to install one. The A/C has never been looked at, but it turns on, but doesn't get cold. The Rear Heat does work. The body has some minor scratches and one small dent in the hood, But NO Rust.
