Vehicle Detail
Blue on blue. 400 auto, power steering, power brakes, turnkey driver. Looks sharp, runs excellent, strong engine. Straight lines, no crashes, no stories, clean title. New Mexico car until 2006. That was the year I bought it (fourth owner) and drove it 1,300+ miles back to MN. Car has always been garaged and I use a car cover in the off season. The car is not perfect, it has a few scratches (mostly due to an errant bicyclist) but shows well and always turns heads. The previous owner did a lot of work to it in 2006 including new paint job, swapped the tired 326 for a 400 V8, new front brakes, new headliner and carpet, and installed a replacement 3 speed tranny (instead of the original 2 speed PowerGlide). I am guessing the engine has 100K on it. In the 9 years I’ve owned it, I probably put on 7,000 miles and the car has proven to be very reliable. Like any other car, a few items have been repaired over the years: In 2007, I replaced the radiator (OPG part # FJL8), rear drums and brakes as well as the rear tires (P235/60 R15). Alternator belt replaced in 2010. Heater core in 2014. This year, just replaced the battery and the lines to the oil filter (the lines were old and leaking). That’s about it in the 9 years I’ve owned it, there hasn't been a need to do anything else. Like I said, the car has been great. Car is being sold as is, where is, and with no warranties implied. Please ask questions before bidding, that’s what I’m here for. No trades please. Do not bid unless you have at least 5 feedback or more. The car will stay here while you arrange either pick up or transport. It will not leave until payment in full has cleared. I am selling it because my kid is 16 and that first car will not be a 67' with a 400 horse V8! On Jun-11-15 at 16:21:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi everyone, I received a fair number of questions so I uploaded several new photos which should address most of them. Like any 45+ year old car under $30K, there are a few nitpicky things. The AC/heat doesn’t work and it’s missing the large plastic piece that mounts underneath the dash for vent/air flow control. If it's big, black, and weighs a ton, I have the AC compressor stashed away, that would go with the car. The oil stem is pinched (never had a problem with oil, I just give it an oil change every year), and the parking brake light is always on. The car has been that way since I owned it, never been a problem. You could drive it for another 9 or 30 years with these nuances, they are not mechanically significant. The tranny shifts fine, never had a problem with it. The only engine issue I've had was the radiator and that was replaced in 2007. The car spent 39 years in New Mexico so rust isn't a big factor, the trunk has some surface rust with 1 pinhole. Like I mentioned before, this 67' has been very reliable. I had a manual choke installed too. Car comes with a ton of manuals and the car cover obviously. Thanks again for looking!
