I bought this Jeep last year. I was my first Jeep. I loved it so much that I just upgraded to a newer model. I worked on this Jeep throughout the year while it was my daily driver. I put in a new Flowmaster exhaust, catalytic converter (and pipe to the exhaust manifold), steering damper, 4 plastic replacement fenders, replaced the two rusted front fenders with new ones and put in new roll cage padding. The front brakes and rotors were done this year as well. The interior is coated with bed liner paint making clean up a snap. I purchased a new Rampage frameless soft top that also converts to a bikini top. I also have a hard top for the jeep that needs some minor repair to the fiberglass but nothing structural (works fine for winter). I also just completed a full tune up with new distributor cap, cables, oil change, heater hoses. There are some issues with this jeep that need to be addressed. There is no radio. I have a new one and speakers that I have not yet installed but I will include in the purchase if the price goes over $4500. There is also a rust hole in the driver, rear frame that needs to be welded (see the pictures). I got a quote for $400 to fix it but I didn't yet. There is also a bit of damage to the windshield frame but it does not affect function. Tears in drivers seat bottom. I just duct taped it and put a cover on it. Works fine. This is a 1997 Jeep. The paint is touched up here and there but it has been maintained and starts right up every time and it's a blast to drive. No doors, flying down the highway is awesome. Cosmetically, it looks great from 10 feet away. If you inspect it closely, there are dings and touch up paint and scratches and all that charm that comes with a old jeep. I also have new faceplate radio and two new speakers that I will include in the winning auction IF the price exceeds $4,500. If not, I will sell them for $200 additional to the final auction price.
