2002 Ford Explorer 4X4 PS, PB, PW, Air Conditioning, power mirrors, Auto transmission, On the fly 4 wheel drive, Stereo with touch screen and plays MP3, and more. This truck has mostly highway miles, the body is decent with the only small rust noticed is on one rear wheel opening as pictured. It has some minor dings and scratches but I think it's in better than average condition for it's age. No rips inside but it does need a cleaning. Many new parts like a front hub and exhaust to mention the most recent repairs. It starts right up and sounds normal, no knocks or rattles. The transmission is acting up, we were told it might need a clutch pack. I drove it about 150 miles and the 1-2 shift is delayed and overdrive does not seem to work. I drove it up to 80 mph and it runs well, no slipping, and handles well. From what I am told you can have this trans problem for for many thousands of miles without it letting you down. 4 wheel drive works as expected. It has a defective solenoid in the fuel system and throws and amber emissions light. The front windshield has a crack that does not show in the pictures. It is drivable but I have no idea how far. We have been using it locally without a problem. The tires have %10 tread left so it will need them replaced. It also has a vibration that shows up around 60mph we assume it is a tire issue but never checked. This would make a nice first car for someone who likes to tinker. Vehicle is sold as is. We have done our best to describe known defects buy there might be other issues we did not see. This truck was taken off the road in February when the new truck came in. We held onto it until we were sure the snow was over (we had a bunch of storms and needed the 4wd) we never got stuck so it was very dependable. The truck was well maintained, regular oil changes, parts replaced as needed. Recently we replaced a front hub, battery, and exhaust. It is drivable and runs well outside of what is noted in this description. I have done my best to accurately describe all known conditions and defects, additional defects may be present and unknown to me. Buyer is solely responsible for all shipping costs and other costs for removal, we do not ship so it is up to buyer entirely to arrange removal within 14 days. Payment in full is required within 3 days of auction close. Funds must clear before vehicle is removed. The truck is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied.
