This 1965 Porsche 356C is an amazingly original two owner car with a genuine 97K miles. Bought new in Germany by a soldier who was returning home to Berkeley California, it remained in his ownership until 1988 when the current owner purchased it. Always garaged and always maintained by Porsche mechanics. This car has been in California since it’s arrival in 1965 and still wears it’s original black California plates. Never hit and never subjected to any rust repair, this car still has the original floors, wheels, and all correct panels. The interior is also original with all seats, headliner, and even the floor mat which are all still in very good condition. All controls and accessories work well, with the exception of the clock. It came from the factory in 6404 Light Ivory, but was cheaply resprayed in a more traditional white in the 1970s and still wears that paint today. (with quite a few touched up chips and scratches) The door jambs, underside of the hood and interior are still in the correct light ivory so it would be fairly simple to do a respray, however the window rubber should also be replaced as there is overspray in some areas. The only rust is in the battery box, (4” crack near ground strap) and a few small bubbles forming on the lower rear corner of the driver’s door. (see photos) The chrome is still very presentable, with some light pitting on the side window trim and tail light rings. The left rear lens also has a crack as does the back up light lens. Mechanically, it still retains it’s original engine which runs very nicely, and is ready to be driven anywhere. Recent work includes a new starter, battery, and five new tires. Still has the tool roll, jack, and owners manual. A very nice car that has lived a sheltered life with only two careful owners. NO RESERVE. So please bid to win!
