Vehicle Detail

1977 GS750B - No reserve auction This is the first year of production of the GS/GSX series, the top performer in the 750 class at that time – all modern Suzuki in-line fours can trace their DNA to this bike which is what makes the first year the most desirable. Bike is 100% original apart from replacement of wear items. Clear title in second owner's name. Fresh carbs with all bodies removed from the rack, ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt with new o-rings. New fuel/vacuum/vent hoses with new inline fuel filter. Valve lash was adjusted to factory spec and valve cover gasket was replaced. Air filter has been replaced with new K&N replacement (just the original foam filter element was replaced, the bike retains its original air box and jetting). Front brake master cylinder replaced with genuine OEM Suzuki piston and cup set. Brake fluid flushed front and rear. All cables were lubricated. This bike had been stored under cover and in a heated garage since 1984 until last year. Tank was properly drained and oil coated prior to storage (it is rust free on the inside and out), cylinders were fogged, and crankcase stored with fresh oil. I took care of the things needed to get it back on the road. It still has a couple items to take care of to make it perfect: carburetors are clean but not 100% tuned yet (these carbs are very easy to get on and off the bike on this model if someone wants to modify jetting). There is a 2 to 3 inch rip on the left side of the seat and at the seam near the tank, but foam is good and I have a replacement seat cover in the original vinyl pattern that I ordered from a specialist in the UK that will come with the bike. I can give the seat cover to you with the bike or if you prefer, have it installed professionally by an upholstery specialist for about $75 additional. Has two shallow dents in the tank – tried to picture – paint is not damaged and a dent doctor could pull them both out (one is smaller than a dime). There are a couple of chips on tank that could be professionally touched up, but overall, paint on tank and rear cowl is excellent. I have an NOS tank that I sourced in the matching correct color that has never been mounted and is in new condition. This will be available for purchase at my cost to winning bidder. Finally, needs new tires –they have been on the bike since the early eighties. The exhaust is in amazing condition – I tried to get pictures of the undersides and they are mint with no rot at all. Chrome is very good with just a bit of pitting on the front wheel in one spot – very minor. Overall paint is excellent including on the tail cowl and the frame. Gauges are excellent. Engine cases are clean. Side covers are excellent and no mounting tabs are broken. All electrics work and bike had a new battery installed last year. Let me know if I missed something. This is the cleanest original, unrestored GS750 of this vintage I have seen in a long time with just the right amount of patina. Some people may prefer to keep the originality, so I have stopped short of doing anything that would be considered restoration and I have not done any mods at all. It is bone stock and rare to find in this condition. Can be ridden as is or new owner can take it to the next level. With a little more TLC, this could be a concours quality bike. If you come to inspect the bike after you win and don’t like it, you can walk away from it with no questions asked. I’m confident you’ll want it. In all cases, the bike must be paid for in full before it leaves my possession. Bike has no reserve. I need room for a car and want to turn the page on the project. $300 dollar deposit due immediately at auction close. You will not be disappointed. Send me a message if you have an offer. KZ CB XS GS On Jun-05-15 at 10:39:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I got a question about oil in the sight glass. The bike has the right amount of fresh oil along with a new oil filter, it is just parked on its sidestand in that picture so oil drains to the other side of the crank case. The bike runs and shifts smoothly. If you have questions, please email me and I'll answer your question and give you my cell phone number in case you have any follow-ups. Thanks
