This is a nice southern 1996 Collector edition (Z15) convertible with just over 55,000 miles, with no rust anywhere, it runs and drives perfectly. I need to move this to get it out of my shop. it is heavily optioned with factory bilstein shocks, it has never been in the rain as long as we have owned it which is about 8 years and is completely stock. The tires were replaced last year with Michelin sport pilot tires, which were around $2200, the tires were put on the car and driven back to my home. It has been on the road 3 times since the tires were installed so they have less than 250 miles on them so I would call them brand new. The oil was changed with an ac delco filter and Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. I will list the option codes as soon as possible. Now the reason we are selling it. This vette is my father-in-law's, he had always wanted a vette so he bought this one and drove it for about a month then we put it in my shop and the rest of the miles were done by me and my wife. He wants me to sell it for him. He has owned it for about 8 years, and is the third owner, it has a clean car fax he never drives it he is tired of paying . He keeps it stored in my shop, about a month ago I jumped it off because the battery is dead, I took it out for a drive, turned on the AC and it was not working, after returning home from the drive I told my father-in-law that I thought it was going to need a new compressor. He said he did not want to put any money in it and to sell it. This is a chance to get a steal on a rare car and a future collectable. Very few convertibles were built as collector editions with this color combo and option package We are going to advertise it locally for 15,900 but for that price we will install a new battery and we will repair the AC. The auction price will be an as is auction, it may need nothing more than some Freon or it could be something else, I don't know.
